Actually good restaurant since I knew this one, but here in Marrakesh airport it seems they do not fulfill even minimal quality standards. Food is only ok but not special – in terms of Asian food lovers. For the money it is definitely quite experience compared to what you get for the money.
Why my review is that bad, you may ask now…
Because of the customer service. Quite rude and also not talking in normal voice when we actually just wanted to ask politely with “please” that we would like our tall or first cleaned – we sat already for 10 min but no one of the 4-5 waitresses in that small restaurant felt the obligation to clean our messy table (left overs from previous customer). Besides that not nice behaviour and their rude and loud voice when talking to us and showing such unhappy not welcoming face – we also had to wait for over 30 min for the Boole bowl. Our menues, the noodle bowl and the sushi also arrived not together, to be precise about 15 min in between these two different menus which is not a aptly when it comes to enjoy food together in cone pans since I come here together with my wife. We had already to eat the sushi before its getting cold and ncoild not eat our menus together….
Disappointment exproence.
Overall, food is ok but in terms of of the price not much recommended. Customer service is really bad, precisely quite rude,… would not go a second time here. Hope others consider this before chairing here to eat.

A restaurant experience should offer at least one redeeming quality—either excellent food or attentive service. Unfortunately, this place delivered neither. Both the food and the service fell short of expectations, which is disappointing given the fine dining prices. The ambiance and pricing suggest a premium experience, but the service felt more like a casual diner. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works toward improving both aspects. While I’ve noticed that service standards can vary across Morocco, I believe this restaurant has the potential to rise above that norm. Btw, the fish are not fresh and it has some weird smell even it has been cooked. I come from Asia and can really see the difference

Bad taste. Rice on sushi was so sour that I had to eat the toppings only. Poor service – as if they want me to pay directly on the terminal. Charged me initially the other table’s order.

This is not a sushi restaurant you want to go for if you actually like sushi. Rice was saggy and the whole sushi was average or maybe slightly under average. On the top of that, the prices were as expensive as in a fine dinning restaurant. I was amazed.
The place is super packed with people and waiters have full hands to manage it all. But they do great job of managing it all!
Another thing that I appreciated is that waiting time for your food is really short. Even with a full restaurant, it was about 20 minutes for me to get my fried sushi, which is amazingly short time.

Way too small for such high price.
Small sparking water 25 cl: 4.5 EUR, three small chicken skewers: 14.5 EUR. A pure robbery.

Terrible. Waited for about 10 minutes whilst there were available seats but staff would just keep walking past us speaking to each other instead of giving us a table. Then eventually we just sat ourselves down and asked for menu but they took another 10 mins and we just gave up and left for another place. Worst service ever.

Do not eat here!!!! The food is bad and will make you sick but if you survive, the prices will knock you out for sure. Why pay 4 euros for a can of coke and 3.50 for a bottle of water when you can order them from the shop on the right, where a coke can is 2.50 and a bottle of water is 2 euros. Absolute SCAMMERS.

Over priced sushi with no gluten free soya sauce. A whole sushi platter with only ‘mayonnaise’ becomes gross after a while. Dirty tables and customers cough and don’t cover their mouths here. Staff are nice

I’m a big sushi enthusiast, and the Japanese Pizza was the best sushi roll I’ve had in my entire life, no exaggeration. The Big Roll Pané was also top tier, and I’m sure most of their food is.
Also, arguably even more impressive, they were open at 0530 when we went to eat there. What sushi place is open at that time, and still makes such quality food ?? Very impressed.
Downside—they added a non voluntary 20% tip. It was just my wife and I, not a large group or anything. I also didn’t see it mentioned anywhere on the menu. I thought that was a little excessive, especially for being in Morocco. HOWEVER, the food and their hours (and the prices already being on the lower end for sushi) far outweighs this minor nuisance. We loved our Matsuri experience!
