No plates? No problem!
I had a fantastic meal here recently, and even though they were having some drama with their dishwasher (shoutout to the staff for powering through!), it didn’t slow them down one bit. They’re currently serving on paper plates, but honestly? The food is so incredible that nobody in the building seemed to care.
Why you should go:
• The Food: Absolutely top-tier. When the flavors are this good, the presentation on a paper plate doesn’t matter.
• The Atmosphere: The place was completely full, which tells you everything you need to know about how much people love this spot.
• The Service: Despite the kitchen hiccups, the service was great and super friendly. They handled the situation with total grace.
It’s rare to find a place where the food is so good it outshines a technical malfunction. If you’re in the West Island, don’t let the “disposable” setup deter you—it’s 100% worth it.

Service and atmosphere are alright. Many of the sushi however do not ressemble the image and almost all the maki came with an excess of mayo/spicy mayo on top which it made it very heavy and less tasty. Many of them also had a lot of panko bread crumbs which took over the texture. Not much variety. Eel nigiri and red bean ice cream we’re delicious though.

The sushi is always fresh, the menu is diverse with plenty of options beyond just rolls, and the service is impressively fast. The place is consistently clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re looking for yummy sushi and a reliable experience every time!

This is absolutely one of, if not the best, all you can eat sushi places in Montreal. Always consistent, always fresh and always fast & efficient service. From the sushi rolls to the fusion items, the beef ramen soup, the selection of tempura and more. Everything is worth a try. I cannot say enough positive things about Matsuno. Highly recommend!

I would say arguably top 3 all you can eat sushi in all of Quebec. The food comes out fast, servers are efficient and there is a large selection.
Appetizers: They have a variety of appetizers that come out fast. They are decent but I prefer to focus on the sushi.
Sushi: All the sashimi selections are really fresh. The pro move is to go all in on the sashimi. The nigiri has the same quality of fish and they don’t abuse the rice. They have a variety of handrolls and maki. Like the nigiri, I am glad they don’t abuse the amount of rice and each piece is small and comes in 4’s so you get to try different rolls. The only downside to the maki rolls is some rolls they add way too much sauce. It makes the presentation look nice but overwhelms your taste buds.
Dessert: They have sesame balls and this hot sweet bread with condensed milk to go along multiple ice cream flavors.
Get there early because usually there is a wait list. You have to sign up at a tablet and they will text you when your table is ready.
