The aburi scallop was some of the best we’ve ever had. Get it! Incredibly fresh and plump. The rolls were unique and tasted great too. Service was very nice but the food was very slow to come out (the place was packed when we went), so be prepared to wait a little. Cute little space and a neighborhood gem! Very fresh sushi, which is extremely hard to find around here.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant, and came here off a basic Google search. They have very high reviews, so we were hopeful. The hostess was extremely accommodating to my service dog seating us in the perfect spot. We recognized our server, Polly , from East Moon and we were so happy to have her again. She is utterly attentive and the most detail oriented server ever. Do yourself a favor and ask for Polly as your server.

Best place for sushi in the whole area of north denver. Our chef was Peter and he gave us a beautiful sushi platter that tasted amazing! The fish tasted fresh unlike a lot of other sushi restaurants in the area especially ayce places. I’m pretty picky with sushi but this place was great. Our server Jennie was also very sweet and had wonderful service. I would recommend the Colorado roll 😀

Matsumoto Sushi has officially become our new favorite place for sushi. Amy, one of the owners, is such a delight at the host stand—warm, welcoming, and always happy to see you. Our server Polly was excellent. She took great care of us with the kind of genuine energy. The entire staff consistently has smiles on their faces, and it’s clear they love what they do. The atmosphere feels upbeat and authentic, and the sushi itself is wonderful—fresh, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. I never mind waiting for a table here because I know the experience will be worth it every single time. Matsumotto Sushi is truly a gem.

Look, as someone who was spoiled by some of the best fresh sushi in Vegas, we were truly surprised to find a restaurant in Colorado surpassed our expectations (which weren’t great). Our server was wonderful and the Salmon Roll was so good, we ordered another two. The yuzu sauce balanced the rich richness of the salmon and the herbaceousness took it to another level. That’s how you elevate an alrrady very popular roll.

The food was heavenly! The Sashimi The sushi rolls and the presentation was top tier. Not only does the presentation “wow” but the tastes are other wordly! Will definitely be telling all my east coast friends who are craving good sushi about this spot. Everything was so fresh, that I forgot I was sitting at a sushi place in a land locked state!!
