Finally got to try Pizza from here after seeing all the reviews. I’m not a tomato pie fan, but I figured I’d try the other pizzas and toppings. The lump sausage is amazing and very flavorful. They have fix sliced pepperoni which I wasn’t sure if I was going to like but it worked on the pizza. The regular pie was good and I enjoyed the sauce flavor. Me personally don’t care for the burnt edges or the well done crust, but it all worked. Staff was super friendly nice inside seating area, and they also had other Italian foods and subs as well. Going to go back to try some of the other stuff as I did enjoy the flavors.

Well I did used to eat here a lot and today will be my last Went from 5 stars to 1 came for lunch for some slices and some moss sticks as I gotten my food I had gotten a really burn slice. And the other slice was so greasy so I wanted to just eat the crust as I’m taking the cheese off the pizza I look over I see the counter girl and the grill guy or what ever he was looking and just making faces and saying stuff in Spanish and then would proceed to look at me so that’s what we do at this establishment while customers are eating we make fun of them for taking the greasy cheese off to just eat the crust and I’m getting stared at so least to say I won’t be back to this establishment it’s over priced for low quality

Mateo’s Restaurant is amazing! The service is phenomenal everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and it really feels like family when you’re there. The place is super clean and organized, which I love. The food is absolutely delicious especially their cheesesteaks, they’re our favorite! Another thing we really appreciate is that the staff also speaks Spanish, since we spanish ,which makes it so much easier for my parents to order and feel comfortable. So Thank you, Mateo’s, for everything you do we always look forward to coming back!

Javier, the owner, greeted us personally. Better than his hospitality was the 10 out of 10 pizza that we enjoyed! Let’s face it; we’re spoiled with our options… Mateo’s won’t let you down! The cheese, the sauce, the crisp yet somehow soft crust, and the quality pepperoni worked together to create a perfect pizza!

I’ve had pizza from all over the state and today was the first time I’ve had one from Mateo’s. Boy oh boy was it good. I HIGHLY recommend getting their pie, this was made quickly with quality and couldn’t have turned out any better. I asked for it well done and it came out perfectly.

Absolutely delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly on a fresh seeded roll. The cheese was melty and onions were sauteed nicely. The PIZZA is the real star though. Top 5 best tomato pies I’ve ever had!

Fantastic first experience at Mateo’s. We ended up getting a large tomato pie and fried calamari. The fried calamari came out first and was quickly a hit, nice breading and good flavor. The tomato pie was right on the mark and was exactly what we were wanting. Definitely will be returning to try other variations of the tomato pie as well as the baked dishes.

5 stars all around! The cheesesteaks are amazing, the seeded rolls they use are so good. And yes, the tomato pie is legit Trenton style. So happy to have found this place since I no longer live near my go to pizza place. Also everyone working there is super friendly. Highly recommend!
