Chinatown (Flagship Location) Matcha Panda Cafe – Chinatown is the flagship location of the Matcha Panda brand in Philadelphia, known for premium ceremonial matcha drinks, matcha desserts, and Japanese-inspired sweets. Located in the heart of Chinatown, this is where Matcha Panda first introduced its signature matcha menu that has become popular with locals and visitors. We specialize in (but are not limited to) matcha drinks, mille crepe cakes, cream puffs, iced drip teas, matcha ice cream, and freshly ground specialty coffees. All of our products do not contain added sugar, glucose syrups, commercial syrups, color additives, or artificial flavor powders, focusing instead on clean ingredients and authentic flavors.

Matcha Panda Cafe has a very Japanese vibe — calm, cozy, and aesthetic ✨. The staff are extremely kind and respectful, which makes the experience even better . Their matcha drinks, especially the ones with fresh cream and different flavors, are very well balanced and not sweet at all . Everything tastes smooth and high quality. Great experience at Matcha Panda Café. The service was excellent and very attentive. The matcha drinks were rich, smooth, and full of flavor — some of the best I’ve tried. The cream puffs and matcha ice cream were also fresh and delicious.
The only downside is that they don’t allow two people to sit in the booths, as there’s a sign stating they are for groups of three or more. Aside from that, everything was great. Highly recommended for any matcha lover.

So fresh and delicious! The cream puffs are fully loaded with creamy filling and have the perfect soft texture. Every bite is packed with filling, not just air like other places. I’ll definitely be back for more!

starting with the strawberry mango matcha drink, i HATE mango i dont even know why i still ordered it knowing that but im so happy i did, that drink is to die for
it taste fresh and its so refreshing especially in the heat and then the cute matcha bear on top? dont get me started
then i got this pistachio crepe cake, i always wanted a crepe cake and i love pistachio
not only its so satisfying to slice in to but the rich creamy flavour of the crepe is everything it melts in your tongue
i didnt get to taste the other drink, either that or i forgot if i even drank it in the first place just know anything here is amazing
staff was kind and welcoming, really chill atmosphere
i LOVE how they decorated the place especially with the plushies im literally so in love, im gonna come here again to try new stuff soon (ill update)
in summary, stop wasting your time and go over there, it IS to die for

super cute shop with delicious matcha! it’s a little pricier but you can definitely tell it’s worth it with the high quality matcha. the mood lighting is a vibe & they have lots of seating. would be a great place to study or cowork. the cashier was super nice and accommodating too.

I’ve been coming to matcha panda since I moved to Philly a few years ago and their Roasted Green Tea Gelato is that perfect “not too sweet” dessert and is super rich in flavor. I always miss it when they run out but their matcha gelato is also a hit. Their cream puffs are also a great light treat and come in ube, matcha, or a special flavor. Staff is always super friendly and helpful and a top tier playlist.

Look no further for high quality matcha drinks and desserts! So many amazing places in Chinatown, and Matcha Panda is one of my favs for the aesthetic interior. Such a cozy place to read, study, or work. I usually come in the summer for ice cream, but stopped by this Feb winter for a hot banana milk matcha, and it may be my favorite hot matcha drink to date.

The decor is cute, clean, and a pleasant place to drink at. I love the plushies that are assigned at each tables for parties of 3+. They have seatings for pairs and singles as well. The matcha is smooth and refreshing. If you need a place for your matcha needs and sweet cravings, then Matcha Panda Cafe is your go to spot. I highly recommend.

This was my first time here and the second I walked in, I was in loveeee with the ambiance. Such good vibes. It smells sooo good inside, the music was on point, and the lay out and lighting is so chill. The girl who took my order and made my latte was super sweet and super knowledgeable about all of the drinks. I cannot have dairy so she pointed me in the right direction. I ordered a coconut matcha latte and omg. It is so delicious!! The latte art in top was the icing on the cake. I am so happy I stumbled upon this place. I will definitely be back and will bring friends!
