Finally got around to checking out Matcha En in Champaign, and it was my first time! The place is nice. It’s modern and clean (including the bathroom), which I always appreciate. We ordered a few things to try: the Ube Swirl tea, the Peach Passion Fruit tea, and another matcha drink. They were all good. The ordering process is also super efficient. You just use the kiosk to place your order and then pick up your drinks. They have a good selection beyond just tea, too, including ice cream, bubble waffles, and hot drinks. Definitely worth stopping by!

We loved Matcha En as a relaxing nice spot in Champaign. We tried the Chocolate and Mango Mille. The chocolate was really good. The mango wasn’t fresh, so it felt like it’s processed.

Absolute favorite place to get drinks on campus. The matcha is actually high quality and is very delicious. Every single drink I’ve ordered here has been made with quality and mmm – Chef’s kiss. Super happy there’s good matcha and green tea and tasty little treats that I can just grab and go before class. The staff is the best and they are always so kind. 10/10 perfecto.

The treats, atmosphere, and staff are great. I had the matcha taiyaki cone and it was amazing. The ambiance is super cute and cozy and the service is fast and friendly. I like that you can order on the kiosk. It was also 20% off all cake and ice cream which was a nice surprise. The place was very clean including the bathroom. I will definitely be coming back!

I tried Matcha En with my friends and it was super good! I tried the strawberry puff, and basque cheese cake, all 10/10! The cheesecake was my favorite, would definitely come back again 🙂

This is one of my favorite places to go to, whether it’s to study in the afternoon or to relax after a long day. The service is phenomenal; they always greet you when you walk in or leave and are super nice. Their iced hojicha latte is delicious and a recent favorite of mine is the matcha hot chocolate. I also love the soft-serve ice cream — it’s really creamy with delicious flavor. The matcha, hojicha, ube, & swirl ice creams are all great and I love adding ube powder or brown sugar syrup on top too. The interior is very nice with relaxing music, good seating, and themed decorations. I highly recommend coming here!

If you like matcha, ube, and other similar flavors, I highly recommend checking out Matcha En! I’ve gone here several times and the food is consistently delicious. My favorite so far has been the tayaki ice cream, but the cumulus clouds drink, matcha towel cake, and dengo that I tried have also been excellent. If you are considering going to Matcha En at all, I really encourage you to go for it. 🙂

The creme brule souffle pancake was too good. Spoke to chef who relayed this may be limited time. Highly recommend the creamy soft cloud dessert, not too sweet.

The strawberry matcha was fresh and delicious despite the fact that the matcha could’ve been stronger. The hojicha latte was lacking sweetness even at 75% sugar level but the toasty flavor was just right.
