So I was told this was a super expensive restaurant, and me being cheap I never wanted to go. I was hungry and was passing by so I stopped in. Very nice and cozy. Wait staff were welcoming. I of course chose to sit by the fire. And just my luck it was happy hour. I was giving chips and salsa while I waited, delicious I chose the nachos and the prawns!!! Both were delicious the nachos were only 7 bucks. But what I realized is, there was more chips in that pile than anything else. I had a to go box. I baked my soggy left overs the next afternoon. Still a good snack. 21+ restaurant which I don’t mind. I would like to go again trying different things on the menu. I’ve also been coming here for lunch, I just love the menu, I can have a large meal or a small snack and be satisfied.

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. Very rustic, warm, and inviting. We were there on a very busy Saturday night. We’d come for dinner and, rather than wait for a table, we sat at the bar. The food took forever to arrive, and wasn’t all that good when it did. I had carne asada beef tacos that were more chewy than I prefer. The salsa we had was decent, though I prefer salsa with more kick. We’ll probably try it again.

The Matador is located in an older building and takes advantage of the space for a great setting. The food was good to really good, and portions were more than generous, but we were a little disappointed with the drinks. I assumed that the margaritas would be a strength of the menu, but I was proved wrong.

Great place and food. Very affordable. The Grande nacho was so big we didn’t have much space for another place :-). Our server Adam was excellent very professional and knowledgeable of drinks and menu. 100% recommended.

Best Nachos we have ever had. The Grande Nachos with Shredded Chicken are amazing, it is not the typical nachos where is just a bunch of chips and just at the top you have a small portion of beans, Mexican cream and some guacamole. These Nachos are impressive, is like they make them in stages, the portion is more than enough to share, the have plenty of beans, cheese, Mexican cream, Guacamole and the amount of shredded chicken is like it was a whole entree just put along the nachos.
