We booked out the back room for a corporate event and were so impressed with this place from the first reach out. Mike went out of his way to ensure our event came together with personalized cocktails and branded menu cards, our slideshow and menu collaboration. He was super responsive, friendly and passionate about customer experience. Our dedicated bartender Kayla was also awesome and the drinks they curated turned out fantastic. Our guests were all really keen to pack up food to go and ensure none went to waste. Everything tasted hot, fresh, flavourful and good quality. Would recommend these folks for your event in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved the food at Matador! I got the veggie enchiladas with verde sauce and it was amazing. Not too spicy, which was great. They do have a killer hot sauce for spice lovers.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The ingredients were fresh, but the fajita meat was underseasoned and lacked both spice and salt, which left the dish tasting flat and underwhelming.

This was our first time visiting. The prickly pear margarita was refreshing and the fish tacos were good. Overall a good experience and would visit again next time in San Francisco.

Food is really good, they have some of the best soft taco shells outside the mission. Service is typically a bit slow but allows you to enjoy the meal. Happy hour deal daily 12-5 is great!

Enjoyed the food and the staff were lovely but the whole experience was tainted after we saw a rat jump from the TV up to the employee area above the bar just after we finished our food. We mentioned it to one of the waiters (younger guy) and he said “oh no, that’s the staff area” and didn’t really do anything… (photos of where we saw the rat running across the ledge above us)

The food here was great and my partner seemed to also enjoy the cocktails. We went during happy hour which was also a plus. I Enjoyed the enchiladas with Verde sauce a lot. The salsa had a weird amount of oregano in it but that’s like my only complaint.

Absolutely loved our experience at Matador! The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. For appetizers, I highly recommend the nachos with chicken and guacamole—super flavorful and satisfying. For mains, the steak tacos and slow-cooked beef tacos were outstanding. The enchiladas with verde sauce were rich and comforting, and the quesadilla was perfectly cheesy and crisp. A great spot for delicious Mexican food in San Francisco!

They have a very awesome happy hour 12pm-5:30 daily. Their el pastor tacos are my favorite. Guacamole is on point too and service was attentive.
