Mastro’s never disappoints, no matter the location. I’m obsessed with the scallops — easily 100/100 and consistently amazing at every Mastro’s I’ve been to. I had them two weeks ago at another location and they were just as perfect. The lamb chops were excellent, the Chilean sea bass was a solid 10/10, and this time I went with cocktails instead of wine — the cocktails were outstanding. On top of all that, the staff is incredibly friendly and the service is top-tier.

We had an incredible dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse! Our server Tania was so nice and knowledgeable and was supported by Alejandro and Xianna, who were also amazing — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
We started with raw oysters and crab cakes, both super fresh and flavorful. For our entrées, we had the 8oz steak (cooked perfectly), along with gnocchi, lobster mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli — every dish was delicious, but the lobster mash was definitely the star.
We ended the night with the warm butter cake, which was absolutely heavenly — rich, buttery, and the perfect way to finish the meal.
Everything from the food to the service was top-notch. Huge thanks to Tania, Alejandro, and Xianna for making our night so memorable — we’ll definitely be back!

The food at Mastro’s San Francisco was very good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired.

My wife ordered vegetarian, and she was not treated with the same level of respect or attentiveness when asking about vegetarian options. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable, especially for a restaurant of this caliber.

Additionally, our waiter, Aladin, charged me for truffle butter on my steak that I did not order. I only noticed it afterward, and it ultimately came out of his tip. I want to be very clear for future guests: carefully review your bill if you are served by him, as he may add items you didn’t request.

Overall, the food lived up to expectations, but the service was questionable and inconsistent. For a premium dining experience, attention to detail, transparency, and respect for all guests, especially those with dietary preferences, should be a given. We are frequent Mastros diners so this was an unfortunate experience.

O my gosh I have to brag on the manager Bryan and our server Joe. My sisters, mom and I came in for a girls trip and decided to try Mastros for dinner. Amazing service and experience. Joe was attentive, very informative and super sweet. He has great customer service, great recommendations and just went above and beyond for our night. The steaks, sides and wines were so yummy. Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner.

First time dining here, we received a call after making the reservation stating that there is a dress code enforced for dining with them. Not a problem we dressed accordingly, come to find that they don’t enforce any dress code since the people next to us were in jeans, white tee and white air force ones, so why tell me that there is a dress code when there isn’t.

Anyways the food was decent
It came out quick, the server was good even tho they charged us for a second water bottle after we told them “no”
The sides we had the creamed corn 7/10
Creamed spinach 4/10
Creamy garlic mashed potatoes 6/10
Bread (felt a bit stale) 5/10
New York strip steak 7/10
Scallop dish was delicious 8/10
Kansas City strip bone in 5/10
Very undercooked in the center.
I wouldn’t go back, too expensive for what you get.

Live music was enjoyable. Sat and ordered oysters immediately and they never came. 45 minutes later asked for my food and a steak overcooked was delivered a few minutes later. The manager also came over and agreed it was not the temp I ordered. It was nice of them to not charge for the wine but do better. Adding a photo of the Thai food I got at Thonglor across the street which is amazing!

We went to Mastro’s Steakhouse to celebrate our 3-year anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere was romantic and elegant, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and every bite felt like a true celebration.

A huge thank you to Chef Brendy for making the night extra special. His talent and passion for cooking made our anniversary dinner unforgettable. We are so grateful and can’t wait to come back!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations, especially for a $400 dinner.

When the main dish arrived too quickly, my partner politely mentioned it to the server. We were told the steak would be re-fired and would take about 20 minutes. However, when it came back, it was still slightly lukewarm, which made us feel it may not have been properly re-prepared. We are unsure what the 20-minute wait was for.

The server did offer dessert as an apology, which we appreciated. However, when we left, the server did not acknowledge us or say goodbye, even though we walked right past him.

We had called ahead to confirm the dress code and dressed accordingly from the restaurant. My partner wore a long coat, yet there was no coat check service. Meanwhile, other guests were wearing white T-shirts and hoodies. The restaurant has both second and third floors, and we were seated on the third floor, while the second floor seemed to have a much nicer atmosphere. We were disappointed by that as well.

Overall, the service and experience did not reflect the level we expected from a restaurant at this price point.

W my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience with Mastros. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were so amazing to us. Dawn was our server and she was very pleasant. She took very good care of us. We also got to meet the General manager Brian. He took care of us as well for our anniversary. The atmosphere was wonderful with the live singer. Set the mood for a night cap (wink) The food was delicious.

Had such a wonderful experience here! What started as just a drink in the bar area turned into almost a full dinner. We began with wine and oysters, which were incredibly fresh and perfectly paired. The Caesar salad was crisp and well-balanced, and the bone marrow was rich, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable — probably the best I’ve ever had, and I’m a huge fan.

We ended the night with the warm butter cake, and wow — the perfect sweet finish. Everything, from the food to the overall vibe, felt thoughtful and elevated. Shoutout to the singer who performed the Adele song I requested — such a special touch. Mo was an amazing server, and we also had the pleasure of meeting Dante, who was incredibly polite and easygoing.

Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!
