We were meeting family that were traveling about half the distance between Harrisburg, PA and Green Furnace State Park. This was the place we picked in Millersville, PA. The food and service was great. Found out the waitress had been working there for 18 years, which says a lot about the Italian owner that has owned for many more years. Our friends had the scallops. We had the pizza and the ham stromboli. It’s a tavern style place that It seems in the middle of nowhere, but its just off a major roadway. It has a tavern style, upscale atmosphere inside with plenty of tables for dining.

Not such a great experience. We paid $9 for a piece of cheesecake (didn’t ask for the price first, my bad), $3.50 for a small glass of soda, thecsame price as a bud light. My steak salad had inedible, almost black mushrooms, and the steak was chopped into pebble-sized, overcooked pieces. The steak sub we had was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. But $56 for a so-so dinner seems like a lot.

I don’t even know how we found this place because it feels like it is way out in the country, but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was lovely and food was good, but the cocktails were the best thing. They had a long menu of interesting variations of martinis, and some interesting twists on traditional ones.
