The ambiance at Masthi is modern, lively, and welcoming. The interiors are bright and colorful with Indian-inspired décor that creates a festive yet relaxed vibe. It’s a great place for both casual dinners and small gatherings with friends. The lighting is perfect — not too dim, not too bright — and the music adds just the right energy to the atmosphere.
Coming to the food, I ordered a few vegetarian items, and every dish exceeded my expectations. The Paneer Butter Masala was rich and creamy with tender paneer cubes cooked to perfection. The Vegetable Biryani was flavorful and aromatic, with well-balanced spices and fluffy basmati rice. The Garlic Naan was soft, buttery, and went perfectly with the gravies. I also tried the Samosa Chaat, which was tangy, spicy, and had the perfect crunch — easily one of my favorites of the night!
The portion sizes are generous, and the presentation is neat and appetizing. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I appreciated that the spice level was customizable — the staff asked for my preference, which made the food even more enjoyable.
The service was excellent too. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive throughout my visit. They made some great suggestions from the vegetarian menu and checked in just the right amount — not intrusive but always available when needed.
The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and the overall vibe makes you want to stay longer and relax.
Tips:
Perfect for vegetarians — lots of great options.
Try the Paneer Butter Masala and Samosa Chaat.
Parking is available nearby, but weekends can be busy.
Overall, Masthi Indian Bar and Grill is a wonderful place for anyone looking for authentic vegetarian Indian food in Seattle — great flavors, warm service, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Starting with the positives, many of the dishes were quite good, showcasing the potential of the kitchen. However, the experience was uneven. The Apollo Fish, while flavorful, didn’t have the fresh, flaky texture I was hoping for. It tasted as if it had been prepared earlier and wasn’t at its peak. Similarly, the Malai Chicken Tikka, while nicely spiced, lacked that fresh-off-the-tandoor char and succulence. It had the telltale signs of being pre-cooked and then reheated, which was a real shame as the marinade was delicious.
Butter chicken and fried street style chicken noodles were excellent.
Ordered Karampodi chicken and it came out within 5 mins. A fiery, red chilli , red colored chicken appetizer. It was spicy and the boneless chicken tasted delicious!
The masala dosa was little bigger than anticipated and came with good coconut and tomato chutney along with Sambhar.
The plain naan was perfect and so was the kadai vegetable.
Lastly, the one we love. The fry piece chicken biryani was flavorful and loved the biryani.
The rasamalai cake was good but not for folks who don’t like Indian sweets!
Lots of parking and the music is pretty loud in case you are looking for a quite place
Lately I ordered and received a special discount code to order from their site, however site doesn’t work. That’s wasted.
