Great stop for a quick, satisfying breakfast
Our flight was delayed, so we stopped by Masters Pancake House for a quick breakfast, and I’m glad we did.
We were seated quickly, service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast, which was exactly what we needed. The restaurant wasn’t overly loud, so it was easy to hold a conversation, and there was plenty of parking, which made the stop stress-free.
We ordered three entrées:
• Denver omelet
• Crepes
• French toast with eggs
Everything was good overall. The only small preference note for me is the eggs with a slice of cheese on top. I personally prefer the cheese scrambled into the eggs rather than laid on top. That said, the meal was still enjoyable and well prepared.
If you’re looking for a solid breakfast spot with quick service, friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere, this is a great option, especially if you’re short on time. We’d definitely stop back again.

We were in town on a business trip and looking for a good breakfast by Midway airport. Well, the reviews led us here and didn’t let us down.
This is a simple mom n pop restaurant and we felt at home when we walked in. Simple folks enjoying their breakfasts and staff that was very friendly.
I opted for the 3 egg meat plate and that included the French toast. A nominal charge for the blueberries. I loved it all. The polish sausage though was AWESOME . The flavor was nothing like I’ve ever had and so genuine. I could eat a whole plate of that.
All this and a very reasonable price. This will be my breakfast go to when flying out of Midway!

A hidden gem. One of our favorite breakfast diners in Chicago. Friend and fast service. Food is great, like your grandmother was the one making it in the kitchen. Wait staff is super friendly and very attentive.

The staff was extremely friendly, visited for breakfast, food is reasonably priced and the flavors were great. The portion was a little big, but nobody complains about that. Overall is a great place to eat.

Hey fellow Google Maps users! ☺️ I went to Masters Pancake House on 7/05/24 (Friday) for brunch. This was my first time coming here and I was so excited. I came at a perfect time (a little before 11 am) and I was able to get a table with no wait. Around 11 am, it started to get a little busy and some people had to wait for a table.
️ Food: The food was really good. I was indecisive because they had so many great options to choose from. I was debating between the Two by Two or the Cinnamon Swirl Platter. I ended up getting the Cinnamon Swirl Platter (2 eggs, 3 cinnamon French toast, & choice of 3 bacon or sausage). I would definitely get it again.
Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. It gives me old school diner vibes. I love me a good mom & pop restaurant.
⭐️ Customer Service: I thought the customer service was absolutely great. All the waiters I came across were very polite and were very attentive in refilling drinks which is awesome.
Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great experience at Masters Pancake House. The food was really good, the prices were very affordable, and the customer service was really great. It’s definitely a breakfast/brunch spot and closes early. I would highly recommend this place if you’re craving breakfast food.

Got the Skillet Mexicano. It was good but needed salting. I got chocolate chip pancakes and they were delicious Moist and fluffy. The waitress was very nice and attentive.

Food: Ordered the Vegetarian Skillet with bacon added and a side of French toast with whipped cream and powdered sugar. My sister ordered the strawberry and blueberry French toast with whipped cream and powdered sugar. Portions were huge! Presentation was appealing. Flavor was lacking however. Very basic flavor profiles. My skillet wasn’t seasoned. Bacon that was added was extremely fatty- big dislike for me. The strawberries on the French toast looked like they had been out for hours- despite being advertised as “Fresh!” on the menu… Coffee was coffee. Nothing special in flavor.
Service: We were constantly checked in on about whether we wanted coffee refills as well as notifications about when our food was almost done. Very friendly staff.
Atmosphere: This place has a nice breakfast diner vibe to it. I highly recommend sitting at the counter for the best experience if possible. You really get to see how all the magic happens with the bustling waitresses and cooks in the kitchen through the order window.
Would come just for a coffee at the counter again.

Another gem in chicago that gives me the good ole Michigan coney island vibe. In terms of breakfast at least. Got the breakfast skillet with the gravy and hash browns and it hit the spot. Eggs were well seasoned. Same with the country gravy. Gf got French toast with her meal and they were phenomenal. Great hint of vanilla and had the crispy edges. Fantastic little gem for a filling breakfast before the navy pier.
