The soy sauce chicken was tender, juicy, and deeply flavorful, with the seasoning soaked right through the meat. No surprise that it’s often sold out—it’s clearly a crowd favorite. The cured meat rice was equally satisfying, perfectly cooked with a nicely formed crust at the bottom that added both texture and aroma. The honey and garlic spare ribs were crunchy on the outside and absolutely delicious, striking that addictive sweet-savory balance.
While everything we tried was solid, my personal weakness is Chinese BBQ duck. I noticed it on the menu and will definitely be coming back to give it a try next time. A great spot for classic Cantonese BBQ done right.
Service is what you expect from a Cantonese restaurant. Gruff, direct, abrupt. The waitresses were clumsy, and swiped my cheek (as I was seated, and she reached over) with a clean takeout container when she was dropping it off at the table. She did apologize immediately. Another waitress dropped my scarf onto the ground when she moved an empty chair from our table, to make room for the next table, even though I asked her to wait as I still had stuff on the chair. Again, she did apologize quickly.
Seating: extremely cramped, with shared tables, and strangers seated right next to you at the tables. I wished they had more seating for smaller groups (up to 4 people).
I had take out soya sauce chicken before, it wasn’t not bad, this time have to try eating there.
Service was good, typical Chinese fast style
Food was ok, a little disappointed actually. The pea tip vegetables were very good, but other dishes even the Chinese bbq fell short.
Decor was ok, little dated
Sorry not coming back for sure
The food was delicious and well-prepared, with everything tasting fresh. The restaurant gets busy, offering an authentic HK Cantonese experience with a fast-paced atmosphere and efficient use of every inch of space.
