Massimo’s Pizzeria – Experience Authentic Pizza Perfection in Goshen
Reviews
I don’t see where I can respond to the owner’s response anywhere else so I’ll just edit my review here. I’m glad you’ve cleaned house and got rid of some bad employees but that doesn’t change the fact that my pizza tasted absolutely horrible and our experience over the last year has been every other pizza was a good one and then something would be wrong with one. I didn’t take any photos because photos wouldn’t show that it tasted bad. I wish I would have because one side of the pizza the toppings were about 4 in from the edge of the crust which normally I would have also called and complained about because that’s happened before, but it tasted so bad I didn’t want it replaced. You asked why I didn’t call the store, because you wouldn’t have given me my money back you would have replaced it with another pizza with the same ingredients that didn’t taste good! As far as being unhappy Everywhere I Go, we frequent every restaurant in Goshen all the time and you don’t see bad reviews about all of them. You see unhappy reviews because I only take my time to review a place when I have bad food or bad service so the owner can see it and hopefully use that information to correct the problem. Usually because I normally like the place and I want them to know about the problem so they can fix it and I can keep enjoying the place. I have liked Massimo’s pizza for the last 15 years or so ever since you bought out Bruno’s and changed names. I’ve sent hundreds of people your direction and told them it was the best pizza in town. But after so many bad ones you have to give a review in my book. Throwing $34 in the trash leaves an even worse taste in your mouth than the bad pizza!
The sauce is really sweet and acidic, and almost reminds me of the sauce for the Lunchables pizzas I ate as a kid. Very little cheese, and the crust was incredibly thick and doughy. It’s really disappointing to write this because I used to think this was the best pizza in town. Not sure anymore.
They started out with free delivery and they were very generous with the toppings. The prices were lower as well. Then they decided to charge for delivery $3.50 and they updated their prices on each size of pizza by $2.00. I will say I wasn’t happy about that.
I can say that the staff is very very nice. Other than that, the pizza arrives hot, you can take a slice right out the box and not have to put it in the microwave to heat it up. The quality is present, the pizza is gooey and cheesy and it does taste good like an Italian pizza should. Far as pricing, you get what you pay for! They do offer a rewards card they punch after 10 orders you get a free 2 topping 16” free!
