It’s lobster, so expect to pay more than what you may be used to spending when you go out to eat. It’s totally worth it though. The rolls are loaded with lobster meat. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth.
Lobster bisque and clam chowder were delicious
Staff was friendly, service was quick, and the food lived up to the hype. This is officially my go-to spot for lobster rolls in Charlotte. Highly recommend!
It’s a fast-casual spot where you place your order at the counter, they give you a number, and call it out when your food is ready. The space was clean, the staff was friendly, and service moved quickly even with the grand opening crowd.
I went with The Bar Harbor roll, served Connecticut style. It comes warm with butter and includes 50 percent more lobster and tail meat. The lobster was fresh and flavorful, and the roll had a nice texture. I just wish it had a little more butter, both on the lobster and the roll itself. It’s served with a pickle spear on the side.
If you’re not in the mood for a roll, there are other options. You can order a salad topped with lobster, shrimp, or crab. They also offer lobster mac and cheese and a lobster grilled cheese sandwich.
For sides, they’ve got French fries, potato salad, coleslaw, or chips. You can also pair your meal with a cup or bowl of soup. The soup options include lobster bisque, New England clam chowder, and a rotating soup of the day.
They have a kids menu too, which includes a hot dog, grilled cheese, or mac and cheese. Good for younger diners who aren’t into seafood yet. Dessert is simple, with whoopie pies available to finish off the meal.
Price and quality are in line with other lobster roll franchises. This location is locally owned by a Charlotte resident and Black woman entrepreneur, which adds a local connection that’s always good to see.
Glad I made the trip. I’ll be back next time I’m in the Rea Farms area.
