We had a fantastic lunch. We tried several things—the Connecticut roll, which was buttery, soft, and served on a crispy bun; the Lobster Salad roll, which was in mayonnaise on a crispy bun; and the lobster mac and cheese, which was incredibly creamy. This was on par with the lobster we have had in New England. I see several comments about the price per roll. Yes, it is $20 per roll. If you go to Five Guys, you will spend that on a burger meal. This is good quality lobster. I have seen Lobster rolls priced at $30 or more at other restaurants/food trucks. The manager was incredibly kind. We will definitely be back.

After being met with a warm welcome and a super friendly conversation I ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese as a light lunch.
With a generous mount of lobster perfectly toasted and just the right amount of cheese it surely hit the right spot.
The food is fresh and served quickly and the portions are well sized.
Great friendly staff and a super clean dining area.

Food is amazing. Today I did the warmed crab roll and lobster bisque. Amazing flavor. Fresh crab. I usually go to the midlothian location but this one is just as nice and friendly and TASTY! Highly recommend

Delicious fluffy lobster with amazingly delicious buttery roll. It’s a standard sized lobsta roll. The cost is $20/21 per roll for an absolutely delicious roll. I think this a good value. I prefer the Lobster salad roll than the classic but both are tasty. I’ve also had the shrimp roll which is another good option and the clam chowder.

Mason’s famous lobster rolls is great for lobster on the go. You receive a large portion. However, for the price, I did expect a drink or chips to go along with the meal.
The customer service was exceptional!! All of the staff had a favorite lobster meal they recommended to us.
I am not a lobster person. I prefer crabs, but we all wanted to try eating here. The food is delicious and a must try if your in the Virginia area.

Atmosphere is comfortable with quick service. Staff here is very friendly!
Now…the lobster roll Connecticut style means warm and buttery, that’s what I got. Also do yourself the favor and flavor and go bar harbor style and get the 50% more lobby…The math math’s! and your leave full and happy!
also potatoe salad was my side and delicious as well!

Food was tasty, the lobster was fluffy!
Realistically I would rate it 3.5 stars due to the extremely small portion. I got a Bar Harbor Connecticut Roll, regular Connecticut Roll and a side of potato salad which cost me almost $60.. and the portions were very very underwhelming. I would’ve been a little more satisfied if there were sides included in the price or bundled but you have to pay full price for the sides which are also a very small portion.. and the “combo deal” gives you a $1 “discount”.

Masons just opened their Short Pump location. Clean, cozy space with few tables and counter seats inside. Tables outside on patio will be nice in better weather. I had the Classic roll with a side of their Cole slaw and a drink – $33 all in with tax and tip. The service was friendly and fast. There was really nothing wrong with the roll, it just wasn’t special. The slaw – similar story. Just ok. I was hoping for something special for a $33 lobster lunch.

I visited Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls and ordered a Connecticut roll ($21.95) and an 8 oz cup of lobster bisque ($6). Because I ordered both, they took $1 off before taxes, bringing my total to $28.55.
The lobster roll was tasty but could have used more flavor. The portion was very small and mainly consisted of claw meat in a split bun. The whole sandwich fit inside of a small hot dog box. For nearly $22, that’s hard to justify.
The lobster bisque was creamy and fine, but it contained no lobster meat — just cream-based soup.
I won’t be returning, not because the food was bad, but because the portions don’t match the price. Premium prices should come with premium portions, and this just didn’t deliver.

Hubby found this place online and offered an early dinner. Really surprised at the quality and atmosphere! Had two Connecticut Rolls, a Rip-Roarin’ Crab bisque and a Clam Chowder. All were excellent! Portions appropriate, flavors as advertised and authentic. Small casual eat-in, eat-on-patio, or take out options. Service was on point, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this!
