The is an informal counter service fast food and very small place to eat. The lobster was surprisingly good and plenty of lobster meat that was big pieces. The ladies running the shift during my visit was amazing and had the store running well.

Fantastic Lobster Rolls! I got the Classic lobster roll and the lobster bisque (for only $4 more). The roll wasn’t huge but was filled with lots of lobster. Some places overcharge you and give you barely any lobster, but not here. For $20, I got a nice, buttery bunch of lobster in a mayo-spread roll. The bisque was good, but I don’t think I needed to get it. The service was great. Very nice workers and very accommodating. They were able to do dairy free options and gave 4 extra pickles when asked. The atmosphere is bright and clean and was playing some nice music. It’s also very close to a park where they had music playing. Overall, I definitely recommend Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls!

I ordered from a different location here a couple nights ago. It was good enough that I was inclined to order again, and I’m on a special diet right now and lobster is one of the most agreeable things for me,
I got the lobster BLT. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion of lobster. More than I got from their lobster salad (from another location) the other day. The lobster was a bit fishy, since I’ve had this experience before from other location, pretty sure they just are putting lobster meat in a vat and using it throughout the day.
Lemon and butter saves it. That said, I called this location to make sure they’d include butter. Curiously, they sent me sold butter, then semi-solid butter? Folks, when people want butter with lobster, they want it something you can dip in or pour!
As for the BLT, there were two thin slices of tomato and maybe one piece of bacon. Since I don’t really eat pork this was passable for me but I would be upset otherwise.
It was more like lobster on top of a bed of greens with two rando thin tomato slices and a sparse piece of bacon.
My biggest thing is portion sizes. This was a bit pricey, I got the BLT because it was the same price as the CT roll and was looking for something more rounded out. While there were plenty of greens, the tomato and bacon aspect didn’t really step in.
I think this could be improved a lot more with one extra slice of bacon and a couple more slices of tomato to justify the price. This wasn’t too far off from just their lobser salad from the other location except that came with tomato and goat cheese… They should offer the lobster salad with bacon add-on!

Masons is delicious! I actually had both the classic and the conneticut lobster roll. Prices are very reasonable as well. I also had the gumbo as a side. The lobster was buttery and so fresh it was mouthwatering. The flavor is amazing. For a place like this I would expect a more laid back atmosphere, it had a kitschy “Captain D’s” feeling. The employees didn’t suggest a side for my first order which I would have appreciated being a first time customer. Overall though, definitely worth what you pay for!

Really delicious, fresh and simple like they advertise. I ordered the Connecticut roll. There isn’t alot they put on the rolls, it’s really just seasoned toast and seasoned lobster meat with a pickle on the side but it’s really good.
I wish it was less expensive and more filling as each room is about $22 after tax. Other than that, it’s great. Really fast as well for a quick, light lunch.

Tried the Connecticut Roll and thought it was the perfect sandwich for a lighter dinner, and the pricing was very reasonable. Besides the lobster meat, I thought the toasted bread was really delicious. Looking forward to trying the remaining menu. The pickle is a nice touch

Hey Family I had the opportunity to patronize the famous Mason’s seafood restaurant in Dupont circle while on a lunch break, let’s be clear it was apparent the staff was having a bad day , I wasn’t greeted once entering the doors , everything was overpriced in comparison to the proportion….our lobster rolls was just ok however the New England clam chowder was Complete trash….look you guys just check out the video thats attached to this review. I’ll give you guys another chance to get it right Mason’s.

It’s one of the best lobster rolls I’ve had with a great price point. Paid 20 bucks for a roll and topped it off with a lobster tail for an extra 5 bucks. It was so much lobster ! The meat was sweet and perfectly cooked. Roll was a tad too buttery for my liking.
I also got a side of clam chowder, which was really good as well.
The place is small and not reccomend for large group dine-in unless you’re getting it to go. It’s more of an order-at-the-counter and seat yourself type of place.
Writing this review is making me drool .
I’m going to have to mark this place as my to-go every time I’m in town!
If you love yourself, get yourself a lobster roll from here and add that extra tail.
