I’ve traveled the north east. As an avid lobster roll guy, this joint wont disapoint. The people working will remember you if you frequent. I prefer a warm roll with butter but the cold roll also stands its own ground here as well. A very military friendly establishment, for those who know. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

For some reason I was in the mood for lobster and I never am in the mood for lobster. I ordered the classic lobster roll for $22. I am always astounded about the cost of lobster rolls. Not sure how they stay in business. This was good. Toasted bun and lobster was fresh. Small portion but thats always the case with a lobster roll. Got my fix and would come back. 3.5 stars but rounding up.

I recently catered an order from Mason’s Lobster Rolls in Long Branch for a party, and everything was perfect. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating with my order. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right.

Since our party was a few hours after pickup, we ordered the rolls deconstructed and assembled them when we were ready to serve. This was the perfect move as the rolls stayed fresh and weren’t soggy from sitting in a box.

The lobster rolls were outrageously good! They were fresh, buttery, and packed with flavor. Oh and the Lobster Bisque soup, that was incredible as well. Everyone at the party loved it! I’ll definitely be recommending Mason’s to anyone looking for a delicious, high-quality meal.

Masons is a casual place to get lobster/crab/shrimp rolls right off the beach or golf course and they do it really well. I went here in July 2024 and I live in FL and coming back in July 2025 was an absolute must since I was in the area. We split the Connecticut style lobster roll Bar Harbor style (50% more meat) and the warm crab roll with butter. I had to actively tell myself to eat slowly because those few bites were sensational. My family laughed at me because I said how much I liked this place all weekend, and I even found out that there’s a local “branch” near me in FL which I’m very excited to try. When I’m in NJ in 2026 I’ve already decided to try the sides and soups. Cheers!

I’ve eaten lobster rolls up and down the east coast. Mostly in Cape Cod but also in Maine, Connecticut, NY and NJ. The hot lobster roll and the lobster salad rolls here were better than most places I’ve had it before.
The lobster was tender and sweet, the rolls properly toasted and rounded off the flavors nicely. I was really impressed!
To top it off the employees were really friendly when we were there.
I couldn’t give the atmosphere 5 stars because it felt appropriate like a beach side place but didn’t stand out.
Next time I also plan to try their lobster bisque.

Ordered the Connecticut roll, lobster bisque and a drink. Can’t remember the drink but it was dragon something. Drink wasn’t memorable. Connecticut roll was nicely toasted but the lobster wasn’t warm. It could use a lot more lobster. Best lobster I ever ate was off a dock in Martha’s Vineyard. Maine is second and Boston is third. The Cousin’s lobster truck is pretty good. The lobster bisque was bland and watery. In my picture, I lifted with my spoon the 4 pieces of lobster you will get if you order the extra lobster. It was 4 or 5 bucks. Over 100 degrees but no air conditioning inside. All the tables were very dirty. They were very busy though. The pickle was the only good thing and the staff was very nice. 3 items with a 18 percent tip came out to over 50 bucks. The food wasn’t that great. Feels more like a tourist trap.

Had the lobster roll here and it was fantastic. A generous amount of meat for the price and every bite was fresh and delicious. Great value and absolutely worth it if you are craving a real lobster roll. Great service too.

Delicious Lobster rolls, the bread was nicely toast with a buttery flavor that mixed with that Juicy buttery Lobster stacked ontop. The store was very clean and well kept; very spacious and with outdoor seating.
