DO NOT COME HERE, I REPEAT, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THIS BE THE PLACE YOU GET CHINESE.
We ordered food and they told us it would be ready in ~45 minutes. A little long for a few sushi rolls and crab rangoons but no matter. We arrived at the time they said the food would be ready only to find it was not ready yet. We waited 30 MORE minutes past when it was supposed to be ready, and it STILL WAS NOT READY. Had them refund us for the sushi that was not ready and took what was. You would think that all that extra time preparing would mean the food was incredible, right? WRONG. Some of the worst crab rangoons and sushi we have ever eaten. I would give 0/5 stars if I could.

My girlfriend (who is awesome))and I eat Chinese food quite a bit. We often joke that we love Chinese so much we never really had a bad experience. Until last night. We placed an online order. It gave us a time of delivery, which I knew it would be a little extended because of the weather. We waited an hour and a half and still heard nothing or had nothing.
We decided to call the restaurant and the lady that answered it doesn’t speak much English and was not understanding much of anything we were trying to ask her. We told her we had placed an online order on their website. Gave her my girlfriend’s name address and phone number and she said she could not find it. She said she would call us right back. Which she did. Only to ask for the same information all over again. And again she said she could not find it that she would get a supervisor to call us. Meanwhile my girlfriend checked her bank account they had deducted the money from her account. We got no call from the supervisor so we called back for a third time. This time spoke to a different person when he didn’t find it I asked to talk to a manager. Then they put somebody on the phone who said was the owner. He couldn’t speak English very well so it was hard to understand him. But basically he said that the order is out for delivery meanwhile the other two people had said it was still at the restaurant and the other person said they couldn’t find it. All we got were conflicting answers. My girlfriend(whos a Godsend) contemplated stopping the payment on her bank account. Finally over a total of 2 hours later from time of order the gentleman (who was very nice)showed up with our order. I smiled and thanked him because it was not his fault. Once we got the order, there was even more disappointment. Her sweet and sour chicken was all breading and no chicken my sweet and sour shrimp was the same way. And the sweet and sour sauce was only filled halfway in the container and no vegetables just the cold putrid sauce.We also did not get our second egg roll and we got no soy sauces. And the food was pretty cold for the most part. It was a frustrating experience and our first time ordering from here and it will be our last.
If you’re looking for Chinese food in this area Imho keep scrolling for something better.

I wanted to not like this place, but honestly, they are solid! I asked for bean sprouts in my Shrimp Egg Foo Young, and they handled it without a problem. The Chinese food here is better than every single place I’ve been to in Georgia or Tennessee

Used to be good, not anymore, go to Asian Kitchen in Yorkville instead, at another level. The love to load up the broccol, definitely pass on the Spicy Garlic Scallops, not good, sauce is sweet, not Spicy. I would go elsewhere.

I tried to give this place another chance based off the fact that I haven’t been here in a while and reading the reviews but I am done for good. We ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Shrimp Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon. Starting with the Rangoon because that’s what I had first. They were not crispy, and the filling was too sweet with no taste of crab. The Egg Foo Young had no seasoning or flavor and the gravy was watery, on top of that the patties were burnt. So just imagine eating burnt fried egg patties with no seasoning and watery gravy. And the rice did not have the color of fried rice, had no flavor, barely had any green onions and the egg in that was over cooked as well. Nothing was good about this $35 meal.

It’s been a while since we have ordered, but needless to say we will not be ordering from Mason Wok again. The chicken is literally all breading with one or two pieces of fat. Couldn’t even be saved drenched in the sauce. The shrimp is poorly cooked, not even an attempt at deveining and the lo mein is fettuccine noodles at best. We called to inquire and the lady who answered was less than accommodating and hung up on me when we asked what could be done to resolve the issue and I ultimately asked for a full refund so we could order from somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Mason Wok for years now. Their egg rolls, crab rangoons, and fried rice are to die for. I’ve never had anything better yet. It’s a shame they got rid of the crab rangoons from their lunch special though. Their orange chicken is very good as well when it’s fresh but it can be a bit overcooked from time to time. Overall, still a great experience and a great go-to whenever you get the Chinese takeout urge. You can’t go wrong.
