We’re visiting the area and looking for a spot for lunch and decided to stop in at Mashawy and were so glad we did!
We shared the Mixed Appetizer for Two and the Mixed Grilled Platter, and everything was excellent. The appetizer had two of each falafel, sambousa, and grape leaves—fresh, crispy, and well-seasoned across the board. The grape leaves were perfectly cooked and so tasty!
The mixed grill was the highlight: shish kabob, kafta kabob, chicken kabob, and 2 lamb chops, all perfectly grilled and flavorful. Our favorite was the kafta and the beef. It came with basmati rice, fattoush, and hummus, which were just as good as the mains. Portions were generous and great for sharing.
Solid Mediterranean food, cooked well and served fresh. If we were locals, this place would definitely be on our usual rotation. Service was wonderful and got to meet the chef!

All I can say is “WOW”. We’re full time travelers in the area at the Caverns. A must visit of in the area. I am not a lamb person. But the menu pictures sucked me in to try. Was not disappointed. Were so tender and delicious. Even the rice under it was great. Can’t forget the awesome Hummus. They greeted us at the door. Felt like a great family welcome. Had great entertainment that was playing. Kirsten our waitress was great. She was so personable. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. We will be back today for the gyro for lunch. ☺️ if in the area. This place will not disappoint. Great reasonable prices.

Visited this late little restaurant while working in town. It’s a bit strange because it’s located a little outside of town and inside of an old 60s ranch house that has been renovated. They did a great job a renovating it for a restaurant and it has a great atmosphere. Music was a little loud and the service was slow but they were extremely nice and apologetic. The food was excellent although I felt like it was not quite enough for an entree. However I have worked in the field all day and was very hungry. Cool place and I would definitely visit again

Locally owned restaurant serving delicious, uniquely seasoned food. Beautiful, calm interior with peaceful music. The beef shish kabob platter, and lentil soup were fresh and flavorful. Server was sweet and attentive. Varied menu with plenty of options for adventurous and non adventurous diners. Conveniently located near Florida Caverns state park. If you’re visiting the park, you must try this place.

I’m so glad Mashawy is open again after their hiatus! It is arguably the best restaurant in Marianna. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great. My wife and I went last night and it did not disappoint. We will be back.

I’ve been to a LOT of Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants and this place surprised me. It was great! The appetizers were amazing (especially the sombousas). I don’t typically like grape leaves but these guys were wonderful! Soft, silky and perfectly seasoned. For entree I ordered lamp chops. The flavor was great. The chop size was adequate for lamp chops. However my wife ordered the snapper glabah and that was something special!!! Next up: desserts!! 100% get the Nadya!!! Simple but delicious! The Baglava wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but only because it was hard to cut into pieces.

Hands down the BEST place to eat when in this area!!!! I had the shawarma and my wife had the Moussaka…… both were amazing! My sons got the cheeseburgers and fries and both devoured them! The fries are not frozen fries they appeared to be and tasted like fresh cut fries! I cannot over state how awesome the service and food both were! The owners themselves are some of the kindest people you’ll meet!

I stopped in this place on a whim and had a wonderful evening. Not only was the food and service great, but they had live music that night. The keyboard player was super talented and played a whimsical cover of somewhere over the rainbow that really made me fall in love with the place.
The owners were friendly, and I did get to chat with them a bit before leaving. Overall it was a great experience, even for a reclusive solo diner and I would highly recommend, especially if you catch them on a night with music, and double especially if you want genuine good food or have a party with a picky eater that wants a regular burger and fries while everyone else has a more adventurous pallet, hahaha. They have good options for everyone, and good vegetarian options as well. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
