Masali is an authentic multi cusine restaurant in Mauritius. It has become one of the favourite dining spots of the region in a very short span of time. You will find the restaurant has a friendly atmosphere with modern stylish decor and is the perfect setting for all occasions.

A friendly and genuine staff. They were sincere in there greeting and happy to provide a delicious experience. We had Pani Puri, Paneer 65 (The Paneer was perfect. Firm, without being spongy or overly fried) Butter chicken (which was mind blowingly flavorful), Chicken Kerala Curry, Garlic naan, Garlic cheese naan, and Biriyani rice. I wish I could have ordered more. As it is. We had to take home a lot because we just couldn’t fit any more. I would love to try more of the vegetarian dishes. Hoping to go back during our stay. I also want to try their Mango Lassie, Gulab Jamun, and some of their Lamb dishes as well. Soo much to try, so little time. Parking can be a little tricky because it is a busy intersection, but we found a spot not far.
Edit to say we returned 3 days later for more. Greeted with the same warm smile and even sat at the same table. This time we went for Veg Manchurian starter, then Kadai Paneer and Chicken Masala, and had to go with the Byriani rice, it’s too good to pass up. Finished with a little Mango Lassie and Masala Chai. The Kadai Paneer was wonderfully flavorful and the Chicken Madras tasted like a warm hug. The Mango Lassie was bright and refreshing. And what else can I say about Masala chai, it’s comfort in a glass. Sip and be soothed of your worries.

I love Indian cuisine and tried a lot of Indian restaurants all over the world, but here I had the best garlic naan and paneer dishes! Highly recommend to everyone. I also highlight the tea selection which looked great, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to test them out.

Delicious and Authentic Indian Food!
The food was absolutely delicious — the dosa and rasam had an authentic South Indian taste, full of flavor and perfectly spiced. Even the starters like hara bhara kebab, soup, and dahi puri were fresh and tasty. Everything was served hot and nicely presented. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving real Indian flavors

Amazing and friendly service with the food to match. We ordered the oo la la dosa and mumbai dosa and were cooked to perfection. If wanting a dosa when in Mauritius, this is THE place!

Everything about this place is exceptional (especially for Indian traveller’s). Everyone should atleast try this place, once you are in Mauritius. Loved the food they serve. I was on a 10 days trip and had either lunch or dinner at this place. Must try… superb service. Very polite staff.

We already came back to eat here a second time because we liked it so much. The food is very tasty and the portions are good. We really liked the butter chicken and sahi paneer. The Naan is also very fresh and good, the chees naan is richly filled with chees!
The service is very kind, thoughtful and friendly.
The seating area outside is very nice with many plants. Since the restaurant is at a corner of a busy street it can get a little loud sometime when a bus is passing by.
Overall the restaurant feels really authentic and we will probably come back a third time during our vacation here.

Amazing place! If you’re into Indian cuisine, you simply can’t miss it. And even if you’re not, I still recommend giving Masali a try — it might just turn you into an Indian food lover.
Their curries are rich in flavor and aroma, with just the right level of spiciness. I especially recommend the butter chicken and their Thali plates. The Thali is great value for money and a fantastic way to sample a variety of dishes.
The staff are polite and genuinely kind, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully decorated — lush, green, and very tidy. If the weather’s nice, I suggest choosing a table outside; it’s even more pleasant out there.

We visit here more than four times a month and overall everything is good. The food quality is nice and I especially love the dosa it’s my favorite.
However the service is usually quite slow. Normally dosa takes around 10 minutes in most places but here it often takes more than 40 minutes. We kindly request you to please try to improve the service speed.
We really enjoy coming here and hope the service can be a little faster. Thank you.

We visited Masali for the first time. Since we were fasting, we decided to try their thali. Honestly, we were a bit hesitant because our experiences at other places hadn’t met our expectations, but this place completely surprised us! From the moment we entered, the staff was very friendly. The person who took our order guided us on what to choose and made sure we’d enjoy it. We followed his suggestions, and when the food arrived, it was perfectly on time. After our first bite, we were shocked at how delicious it was , absolutely yummy! The portions were generous, the taste amazing, and the price was very reasonable. A few minutes later, he came to check on us, making sure we were satisfied. When we went to pay, we shared our feedback and learned that the person who served us was Masali, the owner himself. He was professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
