Service was impeccable.
Food was absolutely amazing. Would recommend
We had the Malaidar & vegetable korma plus starters, top quality and very tasty.
Naan breads are huge!
We were told that they would not serve us if we were only ordering tea and no food. This was disappointing, especially for an Indian restaurant where chai is usually a basic and welcoming offering.
We completely understand if a restaurant is busy or doesn’t want tables blocked for just tea — however, the restaurant was empty at the time, so this reasoning did not apply.
As travellers, this was our first interaction with the place, and experiences like this discourage new customers from ever getting to try the food or rate the service positively. Hospitality should be about welcoming customers, not turning them away based on order conditions.
Based on this experience, I’m giving a one-star rating.
The naan was soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of crispness and fluffiness. The starters were flavorful and well-seasoned, served hot and presented nicely. Each bite truly reflected authentic Punjabi taste and quality ingredients.
The mango lassi was thick, refreshing, and perfectly sweet—an ideal way to balance the spices and end the meal on a pleasant note.
Overall, the food was delicious, portions were generous, and the experience felt warm and authentic. A great place to enjoy classic Punjabi flavors, and definitely worth visiting again.
Sharan was really polite and helpful
Group of 6 people with kids entered the restaurant and wanted to have some chai. They made us settle down and then denied to give only tea. We would have ordered the snacks as well but saw the place too late and ate them while we were parked outside
No customer handling skills at all. You should have board outside mentioning you cannot have just tea.
Food served was appalling.
Popadoms all smashed.
Coconut rice was distracted rice and not proper.
Lamb was bred in my jalfarazi.
Peshwari was smashed
Tasters and bland and not with half of what was paid!
Chicken poor dry and has been sitting.
We shall never use again.
Very friendly, attentive staff, nicely set out restaurant with lots of food options.
I went for poppadoms to start with, 2 freshly cooked poppadoms with plenty of mago chutney, raita, and spiced onions.
I followed this with a Chicken Malaidar (chicken, spinach, green chilli and cream) accompanied by garlic rice – washed down with a pint of Cobra!
The portions were very generous and my Malaidar was delicious. Including a tip, £30. Money well spent. If you’re passing, or live nearby – give it a go – I thoroughly recommend it!
Looking at the ambience you will feel like you are going to get a great Indian food but actually the taste is below average and specifically the breads, not good.
We also tried tea and it was also average.
