Amazing experience!! Way way better than regular conventional Indian restaurants. We ordered deconstructed samosa, chilli fried paneer, butter naan, paneer bhuna, veg fried rice, dal tadka and Garam jamun in pistachio ice cream . None of the dishes disappointed us. From the presentation to the taste, everything was so so unique and good!!
Special mention to Moe, who was quite friendly and recommended us what to try. Since we are vegetarians and wanted to try a different type of paneer curry, he specially asked the chef to prepare paneer bhuna which was not in menu.

The food was delicious. Thanks to Mujeeb for the great service. I used to be a regular at Ishina and always loved their food, so I already knew what to expect. I had roti, daal makhni, avocado mint tikka chicken, and cutting chai. Everything tasted amazing.
One thing worth mentioning is that over the past few years, many new Indian restaurants have opened all over Ottawa. Unfortunately, a lot of them struggle with consistency, hygiene, and overall experience. Masala Trail is different. You can tell they know what they are doing. They have experience running a proper restaurant, and it shows in the food, the cleanliness, and the service.
This is going to be my go to place for Indian food in Kanata from now on.

I had dinner here with my son this evening. The food and service was excellent! I had the nariyal chicken curry and my son had the tandoori salmon. We had rice and garlic naan to share. Everything was delicious! It was so delicious that I ordered another nariyal chicken curry meal to go!
The server was very kind and attentive. Gave us a wonderful complimentary dessert. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe, is clean and beautifully decorated. We definitely recommend it and we’ll definitely be back!

Masala Trail was incredible! The food was unreal — every dish was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. You have to try the Lamb Coconut Korma, it was to die for! Our server Moe was amazing — so friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience even better. The service overall was top notch. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Absolutely amazing Indian restaurant! The food was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly you can really tell everything is made with care and authentic spices. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. Excellent displays of the food, and great quantities. Food was delish! We loved the shrimp, fish ball, and paneer starters. We loved the bhindi, tandoori salmon, cauliflour/potatoes, cumin rice, garlic naan, and spinach paneer! Great service. Very attentive! Great patio and would have also been nice to sit inside.
