All of it was lovely. My wife’s words used for “fantastic” and “delicious”. IMO best tandoori chicken and naan we’ve had in Indiana. You’ll be very happy if you get the aloo and butter chicken.
Great service and welcoming.
When we are in this area again we will be sure to stop here.
Thanks and compliments to the chef(s)
Very generous with the warm, delicious garlic butter naan.
AND, bonus, they have fried spinach. So, so good!
And the man tending to us was very kind and personable, despite the language barrier.
Ok so It doesn’t look like much on the outside, and the ambience is plain inside BUT the moment you enter there’s a serene calmness that comes over you, due to the beautiful quiet music in the background wonderful smells of Indian spices and spotlessly clean sense of the restaurant itself. But most importantly the food is AMAZING it’s soooooo delicious and fresh! It’s the kind of food that feeds you SOUL!
The dishes we ordered were :
>Dhaba chicken curry with yellow curry slightly sweet brown sauce not spicey at all.
>Somosa Chat chick peas with potatoes. and spices . We asked for mild spice and although delicious we had to mix it with the rice and Nan to handle the heat. Cash the owner was very attentive and noticed we found it spicey so he went and got some sliced lemons and told us if we squeezed the juice on to the somosa chat it will turn down the spice of the dish and it worked great.
>Buttered Nan a little crunchy but tasty
I’m mad at myself for not taking pictures of the food and drink which I usually always do, but it was so delicious. I just didn’t want/or think to stop lol!
We were disappointed at first that they didn’t have the buffet, but we understood why being that it was a very slow time (late afternoon day after thanksgiving). We really were just glad that they were even open. Fabulous top-notch service as soon as you enter. Cash the manager/owner, is a wonderful, friendly man! We had a lot of questions about the cuisine and the his culture and he patiently and enthusiastically answered every single one. He and a younger server named Bunny gave us vip treatment. It was cute because I had to explain to him what Bunny means in English. He didn’t know it meant a baby rabbit and laughed. I told him the English girls will like that and find it cute. He smiled.
Get this the owner Cash was so happy that we loved everything so much. He went in the back and brought us out these lentil fried fritters called Dal Vada which are made of lentils no flour. OMG I loved them so so much I asked him to plz add an order onto our meal. Turns out it wasn’t on the menu! Because it was part of his personal breakfast he had that morning! He makes them at home! lol ! Soooo generous he gave us a couple more. I was like “you soooooo have to put these on the menu!” He said they’re too hard to make. Right now I’m looking them up on the Internet gathering recipes to try them out . They take a little time, but I don’t think they’re too hard for me to make .
Now you need to know the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because they don’t have free water like most restaurants, although they did give us cups with ice. You have to buy their bottled water which are tiny bottles for a dollar… so I felt like that was kind of weird and a little offputting. When I asked Bunny why he said the water wasn’t very good out of the faucet. I think it would be really smart for them to just get a filter system. The ice tasted fine so I don’t know where they got that. This was a very small tiny inconvenience in comparison to the amazing food and service we received. We will definitely be back.
Don’t hesitate to go you will not be disappointed.
