I’ve actually been to Masala Junction twice now, and both times the food really hit the spot. It’s becoming one of those reliable go to places when I’m craving authentic Indian flavors. So whenever I visit Michigan i go to that restaurant..
So far I have tried
Crispy Pakora: These were a great way to start. They were super crunchy on the outside and not too oily, with a nice savory flavor inside.
Chilli Chicken Momo (Spicy because I prefer spicy): If you like heat, you’ll love these. They have a serious kick! The chicken was tender, and the spicy sauce they’re tossed in is bold. Definitely keep a drink nearby
Tandoori Chicken: This had a really nice smoky flavor from the grill. The meat was well marinated in spices and had that classic charred look.
Soup: It was a nice, warm, and simple way to prep the stomach before all the heavy spices. It was snowing outside so I think I ordered the best thing.
The Main Course
Chola Bature: This was a huge highlight. The chickpeas were savory and perfectly spiced, and the fried bread was big, fluffy, and satisfying. It’s a very filling dish.
Butter Chicken: The ultimate comfort food. It was very creamy and rich with that slightly sweet tomato base. It’s perfect if you aren’t in the mood for anything too spicy but still want a lot of flavor.
Chicken Vindalo: This was the complete opposite of the butter chicken. It was tangy, sharp, and had a deep spice to it. If you like your curry to have some real “oomph,” this is the one to get.
Garlic Naan: You can’t have Indian food without naan. This was soft, buttery, and had plenty of garlic on top. It’s a must have for dipping into the Butter Chicken and Vindalo sauces.

The food was. AMAZING… sooo good, definitely my favorite indian cuisine restaurant in the area. The server running the place was super kind and helpful with my choices and boy oh boy was he right! I got the Shrimp Korma and my friends got the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tika Masala and ofc we got THREE orders of garlic naan. Definitely coming back for that lunch special next time! ALSO i forgot to take a picture cause I was so excited to dive in, but I ATE THAT UP. #BEASTED

The food was delicious and varied, with the lamb biryani being particularly tasty. It had enough portion for two to three people. The interior design was nice, and the customer service was excellent!

Incredible experience. Generous portions, wonderfully friendly hospitality, excellent flavors. This place really impressed me. The food is truly fantastic. I especially loved the dumpling soup. The complex broth with lots of chicken and those exquisite dumplings is a perfect combination for cold weather comfort food.

If you’re looking for AMAZING food and a cozy, intimate dining experience without the crowds, this is the place to be! My family and I visited for the first time yesterday to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and honestly, I was blown away by both the food and the service. When it comes to Indian cuisine, we typically travel to Canada since many local spots lack the authentic flavor and richness we crave. I was a bit hesitant because of Ramadan—after all, we were all super hungry, and we needed the food to be perfect. But from the moment we walked in, the owner and her team went above and beyond to accommodate us, offering dates and sharbat for us to break our fast. The food arrived on time and was absolutely out of this world! The owner’s warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced service like that, and I’m not exaggerating! I’ll definitely be back for another dine-in experience. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

This is my new favorite place to eat! My mom and I decided to try something new and we were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection, the spice level was tolerable, and the restaurant is super clean and cozy! My favorite part was how sweet the owners were, they’re the friendliest people with good energy. I’d recommend the butter chicken for first timers. Will definitely be back.

Wow. This place blew my mind. I’ve lived in Sterling Heights for over 5 years and never knew this place existed! I decided to try it today and I’ve gotta say that Masala Junction’s shrimp biryani is one of the best I’ve ever tried over the past few years. I love shrimp and I love biryani. Everything tastes extremely fresh. The food here is amazing not to mention the wonderful customer service that comes with it. It’s quiet and all around a great place to dine in with friends and family.
