I took my partner here for his birthday meal and we were both incredibly impressed!
I have coeliac disease and both members of staff we were seen by were fantastic!
We popped in around lunchtime to double check it would be fine for me to eat there, and we were satisfied enough to book in for dinner.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, very cosy and clean. The buildings original features are stunning.
When ordering, everything was explained to me as to what I was safe to have (pretty much everything you would expect if you’ve been a coeliac in an Indian restaurant before) – but I am very grateful for the thoroughness.
The food itself was incredibly fresh and was absolutely delicious!!! Not at all heavy or greasy, really vibrant yummy dishes.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to other coeliacs, and to anyone in search of a delicious Indian meal!
And – to top it all off – it’s a two minute walk from the beach front!
Absolutely amazing

Nice little place and food was lovely. Only criticism would be that tables were quite close together. But overall it was really good and friendly. Would go back

Just bad. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting anything special, but that’s the worst ‘Indian’ meal I’ve had. Would’ve been better off having a ready meal. Tandoori mixed grill bland. Butter chicken was a Korma, not a butter chicken, we complained and they sent back the same with some melted butter on top. Everything so sweet, even the biryani?! Don’t bother. Take yourself to Dosa Palace on Northdown Rd and have some good Indian food in Margate. Friendly staff was the only redeeming feature.

I was surprised by the generous portions and the great price here. The interior is absolutely gorgeous, a historic building with stained glass window and original features. It’s also open later than most other restaurants so it’s a really good place to know about. I’ll be back!

We walked in here as was just looking for somewhere to eat. This is a little gem. They are such lovely people who absolutely are doing their best and treating their customers as best as anyone would like to be treated. So that was the first good thing – the second is that the food is REALLY good too. All in all this was a 5/5 experience and when we are back in Margate we will eat here again without a doubt. Thank you

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The food was tasty with amazing naan bread and I very liked the serviettes which were folded like mini boots.

There was a large bit of plastic in one of the curries that I ordered. My mother in law choked on it. It could have been much, much worse. What if it had been a child? A child could have choked and suffocated. My mother in law is 70 it could have easily been much worse for her. When contacting the restaurant, they told me that ‘next time I ordered, they’d make sure there was no plastic in it’. That’s disgraceful! Should it not be common practice not to include plastic in dishes. They told us that next time we ordered they’d give us ONE free dish. I will not be ordering from here again or visiting the restaurant and will be informing others to do the same. The restaurant showed absolutely no compassion or understanding. The lady we spoke to on the phone actively laughed when we talked to her. It’s absolutely disgusting.
