Finally…a go-to Indian restaurant in Bayonne! I was getting tired of always having to drive to Jersey City to get my Indian food fix. This new restaurant does both Indian & Chinese dishes really well, their roti & naans are the biggest I’ve ever ordered, they also offer vegan dishes which is very rare for Indian restaurants. The staff here is always super friendly and accommodating (adding extra sauces upon request). We have now ordered take out from Masala express at least 5 times in the past month and have enjoyed every item.

The absolute BEST Indian food in jersey. First I would like to state I’m not the biggest fan of Indian food but after trying Masala Express I can honestly say it is the BEST. Their butter nan is incredible everything is so freshly made and the people who work there are also very nice. Definitely recommend!!!

Chicken vindaloo was just like tomato purée with added chicken and potatoes. It was tasteless.. It was super oily and lot of food colors were used in both chicken vindaloo and chilly chicken. I will not recommend having Indian food from this restaurant.

I ordered the Chicken Saag with basmati rice and butter naan via Uber Eats and was pleasantly wowed! The food was delivered in a timely manner (30 minutes roughly) and it was flavorful and well prepared. The portions were also pretty large which I feel like is rare these days. They also placed a message on the outside of my bag thanking me for my order which was a sweet touch. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

First time trying Masala Express and I will not be ordering again.
I love indian food, and order from various restaurants often so I’m no rookie. Had the Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Vindaloo from Masala and I might as well have ordered tomatoe soup with cayenne pepper. Both of these dishes were bland and literally tasted like nothing but tomatoes. $50 down the drain and don’t even care to eat anything it tastes so bad.

Honestly this spot receives every star!
I never write reviews and made sure to leave one this time. The indo-chinese was exactly what we’ve been looking for and I haven’t had a better Fried Rice and Manchurian in the NJ/NYC area. Highly recommend.
