I unfortunately don’t have a picture of the food, because I was more focused on how delicious it was. My friend and I decided to eat here for lunch because we were craving Indian food. We have tried Spice Hut in Lenoir City and it is nothing compared to here. I got butter chicken, garlic naan, a side of rice, and a samosa. He asked me if I wanted my butter chicken spicy or regular, I told him just a little spice. It had the perfect flavor and the chicken was super tender. When you first walk in, you can tell it is a small building. The owner runs it all by himself. He takes your order, makes your food fresh, delivers your food, and cleans up the place. He is such a sweet and welcoming man. He informed us that he works 7 days a week, by himself and he doesn’t get much business. If anyone is interested in amazing food, I would recommend here!! I will be back.

I liked their food and the labor put into it. They even have the stone oven to bake naan. The Beef Masala was tender and delicious (although i was looking for a little more spice and saltiness). The Daal (lentil), biryani rice and the naan were great. The Mango Lassi in the menu caught my eyes coz that’s one of my staple orders in the middle eastern restaurant i normally go to in the Philippines. It didn’t disappoint! The yogurt was homemade. My husband ordered the Kheer (Sweet Rice Pudding), which he found interesting. Owner was very nice and friendly. Food was expensive considering that it looked like more of a takeout place than for dining and you will use plastic utensils. But the biggest takeaway in this Masala experience was that they have authentic, slow-cooked, delicious middle eastern food! If you’re adventurous, it’s worth a try!

Worst Indian food ever. The nan bred was in a nasty tray full of hair and dirt. The spinach was grinded up, cold and thrown in a plastic bowel that has been used several times before. The rice was just by itself on a plate and super dry ! The silverware was also in a dirty tray and has been washed and put out for re-use. This is a health-department case for sure !
For this nasty meal I’ve paid $19.80. Ridiculous and the owner did not wanted to give back the money ! Shame on him

I’d never met a hole in the wall Indian place but the food is amazing! I took a cooking class in MD from a world famous Indian chef and his Samosas and tamarind chutney are just as good. My husband and I have yet to try something we don’t enjoy.

What a small hidden place we found in Maryville. There are about 3 tables to dine in. We ordered Butter Chicken, Haleem, Naan, Samosa, and Chicken Kebob. The owner/chef made all our ordered from scratch. Everything, food and service, was so yummy and good. The owner has a great pride with his food. I’ve never been to a restaurant that has 100 on health department inspection. It’s hidden on the corner next to Bargain Hunt. Don’t let Covid19 to close place like this. Keep going! Well be back again.

We were coming back from Cades Cove and went here. It’s a perfect place for the people who want delicious halal food. I can clear one confusion. It’s more of a pakistani place than indian. Met the owner who originally is from pakistan and learned to cook from his mom. This shop is his passion project after retirement.
I was very surprised to find this hidden gem. Mostly he gets to go orders so the restaurant is not something where you want to dine in. Again, the food was out of the world great. I didnt find this good freshly baked naan and tandoori chicken anywhere in Tennessee. I ordered Nihari, Paya, Tandoori chicken, naans (regular and butter), butter chicken. Each and every item was mouthwatering. The butter chicken is not the one you get in Indian restaurants. It’s more like a great curry chicken. We asked for traditional tea after lunch and he made a great quality tea after lunch. He was baking some rusks as tea side and offered us. Whoa this guy knows how to make good foods thats for sure.
I forgot to take pictures as we were very hungry and it was way past the lunch time. Yet, I would love to go back and get some authentic pakistani food from here. I would recommend to take out than to dine in tbh.
The owner and chef is sincere but a little chatty. I dont mind to know about people so it didnt bother me much. However, his brown medieval mentality can surely bother you.
Overall a very welcoming and nice experience. Wish him great success in the future.

Do not come in expecting a red carpet and fancy atmosphere. However, we absolutely enjoyed the chicken and beef masala! Ask for the spices. The naan is outstanding! Our family will definitely be coming back. We didn’t experiece the rude owner/operator that some have mentioned. We had very good conversations and he was polite. Portion sizes were reasonable.

My wife and I found this little hole in the wall and really enjoyed the meal. The food is excellent. Delicious! But if you’re looking for ambiance or romance, get carry out and take it home…

The restaurant itself is small and not impressive, but the food was good! Fair prices and friendly owner. Didn’t know this place existed because the signs are so small.
I tried the Butter Chicken with Naan. It was delicious. Would recommend trying it out.
