Was excited to try this place but was extremely disappointed. Lots of items on the menu are not available and thus taped or crossed off. Got the duck bao bun appetizer which was not even warm and honestly tasted like leftovers. Got 2 different Ramen and again, NOTHING was hot. Broth was warm at best with no steam coming out. Appearancee was very appealing though! Chashu ramen had the thickest and driest chashu I’ve ever had, to a point it was inedible. The egg had a strong taste, almost like it had been soaking in star anise seeds for days/weeks. Only plus was service, thus the one star. Would NOT recommend here for either the bao buns or Ramen.

Another visit in early 2025 and my review remains the same. This place is excellent. Still the best sushi in the region. Fresh. Creative.
Great flavors whether you order from the sushi bar or the grill. It challenges for my top three sushi restaurants of all time and that includes Nobu Beverly Hills. Family run. Cozy. Make a point to eat here. This is a gem.

A/C has been out for a bit now. We have been there twice, once dine in and once take out. The apps are wonderful, the sushi rolls are fresh and the prices are fair. They go out of their way for you when you dine in, and their take out was very smooth and they go above and beyond to make whatever experience you have, a good one! Our go to. The only downfall for the atmosphere is that the a/c not functioning on some of these sweltering humid days and it is very quaint so don’t go here expecting to seat a party. More of an intimate atmosphere for expectations only.

We came in late on a Saturday (around 9pm) after finding it thru a Google search. It was very empty (only 1 other table when we got there and another came before we left) but it was some kind of festival that day and the roads were closed so perhaps that contributed to the emptiness. We had a Flower Saki (light and sweet so delicious) and the typical Sapporo beer. We started with the duck dumplings and they were very good. We had the Black Angel Roll – my boyfriend loved the crunch and I thought the eel was a great addition. We also had the Masago Roll and it was just one of my favorite rolls of all time with so much fish and so tasty. The waitstaff were attentive and the place was clean.

best sushi EVER!! Already been here twice with friends and family… so far we’ve had the miso soup, seaweed salad, salmon skin salad, avocado salad, edamame, eel avocado roll, eel and duck bao buns, all sashimi, rainbow Naruto, and the Southington roll. All of these dishes are a must try, especially the rainbow Naruto if you are looking for something light and fresh. The chef is exceptional and the owner is amazing and will make sure you leave being satisfied! Not to mention the complimentary appetizers and dessert we received which were some of the best foods I’ve ever tried!! Seriously the best food and service In town! You will not regret going!!!

Unrivaled deliciousness. If you live near here, you must go there. Although it looks small, it is so warm. Great service and atmosphere, the people there are so kind. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Five-star praise without hesitation.

The appaitizers are fresh and tasty, the Jasmine tea was bland and tasted like regular black tea. The entrees were underwhelming at best. Sushi coasters of mainly rice and could have been better. The workers were accommodating. Overall I’m a little disappointed.

Ordered off DoorDash, this place is incredible. Seriously fresh fish and produce, I have never gotten rolls stuffed with so much fish and so little rice! The gyoza were fresh too, perfectly crispy and still warm. I will absolutely be ordering from here again and making Masago my go-to for sushi!
