The food was decent. It wasn’t the best it wasn’t the worst. But the attitude definitely left something to be desired. I was trying to get my order straight and I was definitely getting sarcasm and condescension in return.

A couple years back I used to live in the apartments down the street from this restaurant. My wife and I use to walk to this restaurant every other week to enjoy their good ramen and takoyaki.

Moving back to Santa Clarita we wanted to feel nostalgic and try our once favorite ramen place in SCV with our 2 year old. As soon as we walked inside we were not immediately greeted. While waiting I decided to unstack the stack of high chairs and a younger man presumably the son aggressively told me “Please dont touch that! We’ll take care of it.” My wife even gave me the look like is this guy serious? Looking at many of the other one star reviews others agree this man’s behavior is uncanny and unsettling for food service. My wife repeated what he said to make sure I heard him correctly and I was stunned. I lost my appetite but my wife assured me we were already there so might as well eat.

Presumably what appeared to be the mom took our order and I ordered the tokatsu ramen and my wife shared a rice and chicken tokatsu bento box with my son. The wait for food wasnt too long maybe 5 minutes. The same angry man placed my ramen onto the table and left to take the order of another customer and forgot my chopsticks. My wife had to ask twice for chopsticks before we were handed our chopsticks.

The ramen broth was so salty and noodles lacked quality. The portion size was so small for the price. Nothing about the ramen was special, that despite that man’s attitude, made me want to return again. We were handed our check mid meal instead of towards the end of the meal with no comment. We weren’t offered refills on our waters.

Final verdict: would not highly recommend Masa Ramen to anyone. Not to my friends, family, or the person reading this. Yes as others commented the place is small so thats why they are particular about arranging chairs and the seating and I get that, but it was a Sunday during lunch time with one other customer besides us. I was really hoping on eating here again after many years, but this man’s personality was salty, leaving an extra saltier flavor to the ramen I could not get myself to enjoy.

I thought the shoyu ramen was good for portion size and the chicken katsu was somewhat authentic. Nothing seemed of about the restaurant. I get that some reviews mention their demeanor, however in their defense, I will say that they aren’t fully fluent in English(in the sense that their accent isn’t American) so it may seem like that. But anyway you gotta love a mom and pop restaurant.

I love ramen, and this place made some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. The prices were a bit high for my liking, but the quality made up for it. Everything was delicious. My only “complaint” is that it got crowded fast, which is really just a sign of how good this place is. Next time I’m in Santa Clarita and craving some Ramen, stopping by here.

I recently had lunch at Masa Ramen and enjoyed it! The easiest way to order is over the phone or in person (I haven’t found their website nor did see them on Doordash/Grubhub). It took them only about 5 minutes to make my order and it was very well-packed.

I tried both the Shoyu and Mabo ramen, and both were delicious. The Shoyu broth was rich and flavorful, and the Mabo had a nice kick of spice. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful.

I also loved the fun One Piece decorations on the walls! It was a great touch for any anime fan.

We ordered ramen and takoyaki…and they’re really bad. The ramen is NOT even a ramen!! The meat is cold (like they take it out from the fridge and put it on top of the ramen). It has spinach and black mushroom instead of seaweed and bamboo… and the EGG is fully cooked and $1.50 for one. Service is really bad too!

Love the cold noodles during the summer and early fall. Delicious . Great family owned restaurant. The food is great in person and for take out. The ramen is equally delicious. Everyone should try this place.

I like this place. This is the most delicious Japanese ramen restaurant in this town. But when I visited this time, the soup became lighter and the toppings decreased significantly. And the red pickles in Japan cost 50 cents. But it was so good.

For $15 there was barely any vegetables and sub par flavor. Barely any green onions and corn. The chicken was bland. This was my second time giving it another try. Staff was short and there was no one there to be short and rushed.
