Let’s start with going inside..you’re hit with a very calm and nice decor. Really makes you feel welcomed. Plus if you’re a fan of Japanese ascetic then you’re really love seeing the counter. The staff is very friendly and hard working.
The food is sublime. I had gotten the stir-fried noodles with steak and the person with me got the Katsu chicken. Both meats were very tender and delicious. They weren’t even oily which is a big plus because sometimes too much oil can upset your stomach. The best part (imo) is the sushi. All of it is made fresh..that even includes anything with fried components to it…which you can tell easily.

I absolutely loved their Japanese food and the service! Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend the smoked salmon nigiri, it was outstanding.. and the mango mochi for dessert, which was the perfect way to end the meal.
I had been looking for a high-quality Japanese restaurant like this for a long time, and I can confidently say I’m now a regular customer. I’ll definitely be back!

We have visited South Carolina from Washington twice this year, and during both trips, we chose Masa for one meal per visit. The customer service was always excellent, particularly from our waiter, a young man who provided phenomenal service on both visits. Additionally, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the restaurant was immaculate. We were especially impressed by the cleanliness of the restroom, as we firmly believe it reflects the overall hygiene of the kitchen. We will always make it a point to dine at Masa at least once every time we are in the area.

I’ve visited this wonderful Japanese restaurant twice now in the last 2 weeks. I lived in Tokyo 70 years ago & still remember the wonderful tasty & savory foods I enjoyed there as a child. Masa did not disappoint.
Their food is authentic, tasty & well worth the trip.
Rizal has been my server on both occasions and he is one of the best servers I’ve ever had. He checked on me several times during my meals and even apologized for the air conditioning going out mid meal yesterday.
I would definitely recommend Masa to anyone looking for authentic Japanese food & outstanding customer service.

Had a birthday lunch with my better half & it was, as usual, outstanding!!! I had an eel roll & shrimp tempura roll & she had the avocado salad.
The eel & shrimp rolls were prepared & presented artfully with care & professionalism. Rizal was our waiter again as usual, & he was kind enough to bring us a fried cheesecake with a candle on it as a gratis treat for my birthday plus $5 off for the same.
You really cannot go wrong eating here if you enjoy truly delicious and authentic Japanese foods. They’ve garnered a repeat customer for certain. Ichiban!!!

So we ditched the kid for a Friday night date, and Masa totally exceeded our expectations! We were a little freaked out at first ’cause it seemed like everyone was getting served but us, but no biggie. Five minutes after being seated, another waiter apologized for the wait and got us drinks. After that, our waitress was super attentive, making the whole thing even better. Even though the place was packed, the booths and sections made it feel private, so we could chat without feeling like we were on display. The sushi was amazing – fresh ingredients, and even though their menu wasn’t huge, everything was perfect. Can’t wait till they start serving alcohol, we’ll be back for sure.

I’d recommend the tuna tataki appetizer as well as the green tea ice cream. Great ambiance, cute decor, and great service – the food came out quickly and was delicious. I’d recommend giving this spot a try if you’re ever in the area

I came for the soft opening. They did a great job! Everything was fresh. We got the short ribs, filet mignon hibachi, california roll, crunchy roll and the tiger roll. The sushi chef also made us some salmon tataki to try and it was really good! Everything was delicious.
Service is nice, but they are still learning everything. Once they work out the kinks of everything, I think they will be very successful.
