Mas Que Chimi in Grants Pass is tucked away but you MUST go and order the braised beef bowl (and more) and some fried plantains. You will not be disappointed in supporting this new Dominican Caribbean restaurant. So good! The owners were so nice and the details they put into decor is on point!

I travel about 10 months of the year, so I eat out quite a bit. Every time I get to a new town I try to find something different. Well, I hit a home run on the first week with this amazing restaurant. I cannot speak highly enough of their food, their staff, and the atmosphere. I got two separate dishes as I have never tried this style of cuisine. Wow, was I beyond impressed. I have to say the wait is worth every second as everything is made from scratch. It is so fresh and full of flavor, mixed with the textures, it was perfect.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Every time I go the food somehow seems to get even better than the last time even though it was already fantastic the first time I went.
The owners are always in there cooking/serving and they’re very friendly. The food has a unique flare to it (especially for Southern Oregon) and is very flavorful and well balanced.
I would probably recommend the Mas Que Chimi sandwich with beef the most highly, but everything they make is really good. The plantains are cooked perfectly every time!
It’s a fairly small restaurant, so probably not the best spot for large parties. The atmosphere is bright and vibrant, making you feel like you’re in the Caribbean.
Because they make everything from scratch and they have a small staff, food does usually take 15-20 minutes from the time you order, so call in your order if you’re in a hurry.

Took a quick pit stop in Grants Pass on a road trip. Found this hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough. First time trying Dominican food and it left me wanting more. Great hospitality and mouth watering tastes. Will stop every time I’m down this way.

This place is 5 stars all the way. The guava and cheese empanada is mind blowing.. salty sweet goodness. The sliders are a mess from heaven.. really! Try one with each type of meat there is so much flavor and texture. And the service is warm and with a smile. We are going back for more soon.

Such a great little place! My boyfriend and I came in after going to the DMV around the corner and we are so happy we did. The owners provide excellent service and explained their menu to us. We ordered a bowl and the slider plate as well as two fresh drinks. Everything was amazing – flavorful and presented nicely. They really thought of everything. We will be back a lot! Thank you!

Edica and her family have a lovely restaurant and delicious food! We loved the colorful, cheery and clean interior and Dominican music. The food was excellent – yummy pork, salmon and chicken. The chicken we ordered was in a fried sweet plantain sandwich with fried cheese and salami and a delectable sauce. Surprising flavors and textures and SO good! 10 out of 10 recommend.

If you’re craving food with flavor, this place is a must. Empanadas delicious! Braised beef plate excellent! Yucca fries, some of the best I ever had. My only regret, not asking the sweet lady her name. She’s so kind and friendly.
