We’ve attended 2 RnB Brunch events. I liked the atmosphere and guests were all in good spirits. Food choices were of variety, but for Brunch I wish it was more choices/combos. Pancake by itself isn’t really ideal. Ordering each thing individually is costly. We had to request for our drinks to be remade a few times. Also, we were brought out so much food that wasn’t ours and when we tried to get a receipt, but our waitress was gone. I was stick with a very high bill of items we didn’t order. Overall we appreciate that the events allowed children they had an awesome time dancing!

I’m an East Side native of SJ & here’s my review of Mas Loco in downtown SJ. While it’s true that the prices are on the higher side, the quality and authenticity of the food are undeniably worth it. Every dish was a flavor explosion! We had the guacamole with chicharron, aguachile de carne, and the Hawaiian pizza.
What truly elevated our experience was our server, Alexis. Her deep knowledge of the menu and attentive, yet unobtrusive, service made us feel incredibly well taken care of. The vibrant and unique atmosphere is something San Jose has been missing – it’s a breath of fresh air. I sincerely hope Mas Loco sets a new standard and inspires more businesses to bring this level of creativity and excellence to the area. A well-deserved 5/5 stars.

I came on a Sunday evening the atmosphere and vibes are really nice. The employees all seem to be very cool and nice as well. The drinks were awesome. The food was good there were some things that I wasn’t a fan of but overall good, it’s more personal preferences. I got the carne asada street tacos. I recommend the artichoke dip.

We had high expectations for Super Bowl Sunday, having made a reservation more than two weeks in advance as the restaurant had advised during our visit to their R&B Brunch. The week of the event, we even confirmed our reservation through Instagram to ensure that everything was set for our party of five.
On Super Bowl Sunday, we arrived at the restaurant ten minutes before our scheduled reservation time. To our disappointment, we were informed that there were no available tables and that the restaurant would not be able to accommodate us, despite our advance booking and confirmation.
In response to this situation, I requested to speak with a manager. However, the staff was evasive, directing me to different people without providing clear assistance. The bartender pointed me to one individual, who then asked me to wait while another person supposedly went to get the manager. That same staff member returned without the manager and questioned why I was waiting. When I reminded him that he had been asked to fetch the manager, he became rude and hostile, stating that due to my tone and frustration, he would not be helping me any further. Despite these challenges, I persisted and was eventually introduced to the manager.
While the manager acknowledged the issue, he offered no solution except to suggest that we wait to see if a table would become available and promised that we would be first in line. This response did not address the fact that our Super Bowl Sunday had already been disrupted. The staff’s attitude was dismissive, and the manager’s apology felt insincere. No meaningful compensation or remedy was offered.
This entire encounter occurred at the start of the Super Bowl, leaving us scrambling to find alternative arrangements at the last minute—a nearly impossible task given the circumstances. We were not alone in our frustration; another, even larger party who had driven two hours also learned that their reservation would not be honored.
I was hoping to spend a lot of time at this business that was new to me, but this was my second visit and with the lack of simple business etiquette, customer service and common sense I am sure they will not be there long or ownership will change soon. Reservations mean nothing to this restaurant you are better to just drop by if you care to go at all!

They really don’t deserve any stars. Poor management for Superbowl Sunday. Staff was rude and didn’t accommodate our confirmed reservation that was made several weeks ahead of the date. This caused a huge inconvenience. There were so many other great Superbowl parties we could have attended however we entrusted our day with this place only to be rejected at the door.

Really really slow service and they do not care about it. Do NOT come here to watch any type of football game if you want good service. Drinks will take 30 minutes to arrive. I highly recommend going elsewhere if you want to actually enjoy the game. This experience definitely ruined Sunday football for me. Very unorganized.

We arrived at 1:30 for lunch. We were a party of 3 with no reservation. When we walked in we were greeted by security. He stated that the host would be with us shortly since we had no reservation. About 5 minutes later the host, Sienna arríved. She shared that they had many reservations and would be hard to seat us but would try her best. About 10 minutes later or less she did just that. I am very appreciative that she gave us such a positive start to our experience. Food, drinks and service were good. Niner game was on so atmosphere was great!!! Would recommend with a reservation. I would definitely be returning. Thank you again sienna!!!
