I’ve eaten carry out from here several times and really enjoyed it – particularly early in the pandemic. It was a great place for family style meals and their desserts are to die for! Today was my first time dining in. I got there shortly after they opened but there were already diners enjoying their lunch. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and a very fresh tomato, cucumber salad. The hot items were cooked to perfection, hot and nicely spiced. Truly prepared to my order. And very reasonably priced to boot. The server was attentive and cordial even as the restaurant quickly filled with other diners. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great meal!

One of those local holes in the wall. Best Reuben I’ve ever had. I like the thousand island on the side to dip into. And fresh home fried potato chips are a guilty indulgence.

We tried Ma’s Kettle for the first time tonight and it was delicious! Our burgers were not overdone, the fries were hot and everything was hot when we picked it up. We also tried the southwest egg rolls and the tomato cucumber salad, both very good. It definitely had a small town restaurant feel, which reminded me of places in my hometown. We will be back!

OMG! Calling this place a hidden gem is a gross understatement. It’s the Atlantis of hidden gems! Superb service, cozy atmosphere and big portions of some of the best food I’ve ever had! The crab dip and chips was perfectly seasoned and melty and it’s the best country fried steak I’ve ever had! My compliments and thanks to the chef! Can’t wait to get hungry again!

Great food, including interesting desserts not found anywhere else, in a cozy, down-to-earth setting. Just love to eat there whenever I pass thru Savage, MD.

I wish I would remember to take pics but when I’m hungry there’s no room for anything else. The Mac-n-cheese was amazing and the potato chips were good. I wish I could rate 5 stars but my shrimps were over fried, but once I peeled the batter off it was good

I give this place 4stars. I’ve been reading the reviews and wanted to check this place out for awhile. I ordered the Cobb Salad special and hot roast beef with green beans and squash. My first time there I ordered carry out. I drove past the place because it’s nestled in a residential community and it looks like someone’s house on the outside. It gave me a nice homey feeling when entering. While checking out I decide to order the cream of crab soup. The service was fast and friendly. The soup had a great flavor but little crab meat, the roast beef was tender and a ton of flavor I wish I had ordered extra gravy. The green beans and squash were fresh and lightly seasoned. The salad looked different from the picture online they added blue cheese. which I’m not a fan and no tomatoes, I suggest if you get the salad confirm what you want on your salad. Overall I would visit again and try other menu items.

Service was great but the food was below average. I ordered a cream of crab soup that was thick to say the least, it was more of a crab pudding. Good flavor but the consistency made it hard to finish. I tried an open face turkey sandwich which I expected a thick cut of turkey meat but they used sliced deli meat that took away the impression of a “home cooking” style restaurant.
