I’ve been looking for a new place to eat and heard about Mary’s Twisted Kitchen. I ordered Twisted Pack and Smashed bowl. The twisted pack consist of two pork chops and fries. The pork chops had absolutely no flavor! The were very thick and great size but tasted like flour and grease. For $17 it was a waste. Now the biggest disappointment was the Smashed Bowl it consist of half pasta and half baked potatoes with shrimp and Salmon. The salmon was big size but very overcooked. The salmon was dry, overcooked, lack seasoning. The pasta was creamy but also needed flavor. I spent $28 for burned, overcook salmon with a creamy pasta with no taste. I am beyond disappointed. I try to support black businesses and share great feedback but quality control is needed. If u see the salmon is over cooked then don’t put it on the plate. There was toast given on the pork chop plate it was even burnt. For almost $50 I expect quality food. That’s not overcooked or burnt or just not seasoned. The pork chop could have been a star meal but u have to seasoned the pork chop. When I tell u, all you taste is flour and grease. Highly disappointed on top of that I drove 35min to get bare minimum efforts.
I tried the Chicken & Sausage Spicy Bowl and the Seafood Spicy Bowl, and baby when I tell you the flavor was FLAVORING!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of heat — spicy but still letting you taste every ingredient.
The chicken and sausage bowl was hearty, bold, and comforting, and the seafood bowl was loaded and fresh with a kick that had me going back for another bite every time. You can tell it’s made with love and real skill in that kitchen.
If you like big flavor, good portions, and food that actually satisfies, you NEED to pull up on Mary’s Twisted Kitchen ASAP. I’ll definitely be back!!
Let’s just say, I won’t be wasting anyone else’s money. I loved the concept, but so much went wrong with this order. The mashed potatoes were overcooked and watery more like soup. The shrimp looked great in size (jumbo), but they were either overcooked or undercooked, and the taste was just off. Now, the salmon… easily one of the worst I’ve had. It tasted low quality, possibly frozen before cooking, and completely lacked flavor. I couldn’t even finish half of it. Honestly, it didn’t even taste like salmon. To top it off, I couldn’t tell which sauce was used definitely didn’t taste like Alfredo, so I’m assuming it was Mardi Gras.
On a positive note, the Twisted Sipper was a hit! They offer Hennessy or Casamigos options, and if you sip too much, you’re as good as stuck. It’s a little pricey, but that’s expected for to-go cocktails.
