I ordered a simple breakfast from Mary’s Restaurant in Waterbury, CT, and I honestly can’t believe how overpriced and disappointing it was. My order included 2 waffles, 6 scrambled eggs, 6 pieces of bacon, 4 sausages, and one Philly cheesesteak plate. The Philly was $13.99, but somehow the total came out to $72 — meaning the rest of the basic breakfast items cost around $58, which is ridiculous for the small portions I received.
To make matters worse, when I brought the issue to the manager’s attention — a Dominican lady who was working there — she was extremely disrespectful. I stayed calm and respectful the entire time, but she started mocking me and trying to belittle me instead of handling the situation professionally. There was no effort to listen, resolve the issue, or even treat me like a valued customer.
The food itself was just okay — hard bacon, small portions, and nothing special at all. For $72, you’d expect quality, service, or at least some respect. Instead, I walked out feeling disrespected and overcharged. Definitely won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We have been going to Mary’s as a family for over 10 years. Every time, we are greeted with a smile, they know our family and preferred waitress Jeni. The family environment between staff is definitely felt. Everyone is always so nice and the food is amazing!

The home fries were kind of soft and bland but they were still good. The waffle was the biggest waffle I’ve ever seen and it tasted great. It will surely fill you up! The service was amazing and the place was fresh and clean.

Let’s talk bout it.!! The server was so rude . When I asked for cheese on top of my food she proceeded to put her hands over my food to show me that there was cheese inside.! That’s disgusting ( that’s not what I asked for). When coming back with my plate she throws it down then another worker who was there was being rude like real RUDE staring at my GIRLFRIEND WHILE time she was TRYING TO EAT.! This woman keep doing it the hole time. Until my girlfriend and I had enough.!! Over all don’t eat here if you are BLACK AND A LESBIAN COUPLE.!!

Food was delicious! Chocolate chip pancakes were light and fluffy, bacon cooked perfectly crisp. Sausage and biscuits were delicious and that’s saying alot because I normally don’t like or but theirs was really good! Server Melissa was great, very attentive. Prices were so fair considering the large portions. Highly recommend!
