Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Good variety of food on the buffet. Good prices too. If you like country style food I suggest you give Marvin’s Family Restaurant a try. We were there on a Friday afternoon. They had fried chicken, northern beans, ribs, Mac and cheese, meat loaf, catfish, hush puppies, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn bread and rolls. A large salad bar and dessert bar. Ice cream, peach cobbler, and apple cobbler.

First time visiting Marvin’s for lunch, and most everything was delicious! Favorites were the fried chicken and fried green tomatoes! Also the salad bar was fresh and had a good variety! Good home cooking buffet!

While the food was great and the service was extremely good. There were a couple of issues that I had while dining here. First, the air conditioning was basically non existing, and second the floor felt very slippery to me. Other than that the choice of different food was great and quality was very good.

Service was fine. Our server was as sweetest pie No problems with that with that. The food on the other hand is a whole different story. We all have that one relative that goes and buys premade food at Walmart and tries to pass it off as their food. That’s exactly what this food is. Everything was extremely bland, except for the sweet tea that was nice.

Stopped in today with a coworker that highly recommend this place. I consider myself a “buffet professional” and in my travels have tried many. This is the first one I’ve taken time to do a review on. I enjoyed everything! The catfish and fried chicken were the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, light and crispy. Not in the least bit greasy or tasting like it had been cooked in old overly used oil. Which is common in many places. Buffet was kept well stocked even with a full house. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is one place that I’ll definitely make the 1 1/2 drive back for.
