It was my first visit, and the bagels were incredibly fresh with a perfect texture.
Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside — just the way real New York–style bagels should be.

My bagel was just out of the oven. The cream cheese melted and made a mess. It was to hot to handle to eat.

Boy, has this place gone downhill! I used to love this place when it was actually owned and operated by the original Marty. I don’t know who makes them now, but they are hard as rocks and the bagel is half the size it used to be, because the “holes” are twice as big. Go to Zimi’s or Geno’s for good bagels and egg sandwiches.
I will say that the apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls and the coffee are very good. And the counter help is very friendly.

I’ve been looking for a bagel that is similar to the Brooklyn ones that I left behind a few years ago. Finally today I stopped in on impulse to try a bagel. Fifth place in the area that I’ve been testing for months. I bit into it in my car and that “Chewy Pull” and soft bite is something to talk about. Finally was able to convince my wife to get these instead of Thomas abominations.
