My SO and I finished a bike ride and were craving Mexican. We got a handful of items: super quesadilla with carne, it was alright. Carne Asada fries were okay, a little soggy after the ride home. Their green salsa is awesome but their red tastes like tomatoe sauce. My SO got fish tacos and liked them.

Great BBQ chicken. Our only complaint is the gentleman cooking the barbecue chicken. And the grocery clerk can barely speak English. When we asked for two chickens we had to hold up her fingers. When I asked for napkins they didn’t know what I was talking about. I had to walk around the store and I did find the napkins.

I asked someone at a nearby business where I could find good Mexican food nearby and they suggested Martin’s Taqueria. I’m sure glad they did. I had the Carne Asada plate with my choice of black beans. It had a generous amount of delicious perfectly seasoned meat cooked with just the right amount of char. The garnish was fresh and crisp and it came with sour cream and guacamole. My friend had the vegetarian Super burrito and was also impressed with his meal. I’ll definitely come again when I’m in the area.

The food isn’t as good as El sombrero in Healdsburg or Taqueria Santa Rosa in SR but it’s my favorite in Windsor by a long shot. It has a Mama and Pappa feel to it and the cooks are fast. Bring cash for the tip jar cuz there is no way of putting a tip on the receipt. Recommend E for everyone.
