What a great place to celebrate our 9th anniversary and Valentine’s Day. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming—reservations were smooth, we were seated promptly, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our server, Mike was excellent and it was nice to see the owner Rory actively involved as well. Great guy!
We started with the special-occasion strawberry salad, which was packed with flavor. For appetizers, we had the grilled shrimp and grilled octopus—both were a hit. Dinner did not disappoint either. The lamb shank was honestly the best I’ve had anywhere, and the shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
This place truly runs like a well-oiled machine. We’re already looking forward to coming back—hopefully much more often.

Martin’s Italian is one of the best new restaurants in the area. We have been going in constantly lately, and honestly I can’t get enough.
The owner is a talented restaurateur whose expertise is evident in each detail of the restaurant, including the absolute dream team he has hired. The entire staff is kind, knowledgeable and highly attentive, you will not experience better service at any of the 5 star restaurants in the Bay Area. Chef Mike offers up an incredibly memorable culinary experience that you will not be able to resist coming in multiple times a week just to try a little bit of everything on the menu.
Their newly updated menu includes items that can’t be matched anywhere on this side of Tampa. The veal piccata is vibrant and perfectly tender, the meat and cheese appetizer is beautifully curated, and the cocktails are creative and expertly crafted.
But the menu item that is the most memorable is the lamb. This dish has only been on the menu for about 2 weeks but we have already gotten it 4 times (and we’re coming back tonight for round 5!) I have tasted lamb at countless restaurants and none of them come remotely close to this. It is fall-off-the-bone tender, served with a rich sauce, on a bed of the most delicious risotto and greens you’ll ever eat.
End your meal with an espresso and their unique twist on the classic tiramisu, and you will have had one of the best dining experiences in Pinellas county.
I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We went on Friday in search of a new little Italian restaurant that we could enjoy as a couple or with friends. We aren’t easily impressed by restaurants these days, but WOW Martin’s truly blew us away. From the service to the attention to detail to the outstanding food, and flavor insights from Chef Michael – we will be back – and soon! I don’t know how I’ll ever order anything but that chicken piccata – it was PERFECT. 🙂

My daughter and son in law treated us to dinner here for my birthday! We ordered clams with linguine, Bolognese, chicken Parm and Chef Buttas famous meatballs that beat Bobby Flay!! All very good —the clams & Meatballs were exceptional!! . The only issue we had was that our server failed to put the Bolognese order in timely so it was served after the rest of us were done eating; however he did apologise. The espresso martinis that we had for dessert were outstanding.!!!highly recommend !!

We found Martins Italian by accident and we were so happy we did. The place looks like an upscale restaurant. We actually asked if would be allowed in as we were dress in joggers and t-shirt. They gladly accepted us and treated us extremely well. Everything was delicious and the service Ester gave us was terrific. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Tampa. Martins is suitable for small and large groups. It has inside and outside dining and has an outside bar. Take your friends and/or family…you won’t be disappointed.

I attended a birthday party at Martin’s on 12/6 and was seated in a private room with 17 other guests. We were quickly greeted by our server Sabrina, and served our drinks and appetizers soon after we were seated. This review is mostly to commend our server and her quality of service, as she was friendly, witty, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. I had the eggplant and my friend had the chicken parm, and both were delicious. Then I had the pistachio cheesecake, which was fabulous, as well as an espresso. Prices were very reasonable, the atmosphere was delightful and once again, our server made the whole experience outstanding. I will definitely return to Martin’s! Thanks to Sabrina for excellent service!

Good service and pleasant atmosphere. The food was decent and nicely presented, but overall it didn’t stand out or feel particularly memorable. Solid Italian dishes, just not a “wow” experience. Suitable for a casual meal, but not a place I’d go out of my way to return to.

Once a month, Martin’s has an amazing wine dinner focusing on a different Italian wine region. This month was Tuscany. Chef Michael creates dishes from each region with his own twist and you’ve never had Italian like this! We started with a buffalo mozarella layered on arugala and pears prepared two ways topped with a crispy seasoned phyllo triangle. Next was a veggie frittata topped with slices of crispy-skin pork belly and a drizzle of sundried tomato vinaigrette. Then the pasta course: thick spaghetti-like strands coated with truffle pecorina crema with black garlic and topped with a spicy Italian salami, rosemary and more cheese. Next, wine marinated lamb chops surrounded by mushrooms and a sauce made from wine and mustard jam. I don’t like lamb, but I liked THIS lamb. Dessert is best described as Italian churros with an apricot glaze nestled into a whipped vanilla cream on the plate. Each course was paired with a wine from the Tuscany region and all were delicious. The beauty of these monthly dinners is that Chef Michael goes all out in creating dishes that you would eat at your Italian Nonna’s house but with a chef’s touch that elevates the dishes from Nonna’s kitchen to a first class wine dinner menu. The wines are impeccably paired and give you an intimate taste of the region from small wineries. The price is a bargain for five courses with the wine included, and trust me, you will not leave hungry
