This place is so cute!!! The lady, Lily, is so sweet and made me a delicious drink. I got the Hill Country Honey Latte and it was divine!!! The coffee shop itself is so cool, and the art is so fun. Love the vibes and the drinks!!

Popped over to the new location of Martindale River Cafe post yoga class and I can’t wait to return! I got an iced coffee, but the breakfast sandwiches they were cooking smelled amazing!
The space is so bright and beautiful and it has a nice warm inviting feel. Wishing the team much success and I look forward to returning for some good food!

The staff are friendly, kind, and work to make your experience special! I had the scramble with seasonal veggies and the french toast with peach compote. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Walking in for the first time to this café just gave me a good small cozy town feel, the place looks awesome inside i love the brick walls, and it’s nicely decorated to make you feel at home. The gentleman at the counter took our order and cooked our breakfast right there right away. Talk about fresh delicious food. I love Avocado toast but had never had a sweet Avocado toast with strawberries it was so yummy not too sweet just right. And the Quiche was oh so good, i had a little taste of the omlet wich was also very tasty will keep this cafe as one of my favorite breakfast places.

Atmosphere: Cozy, local cafe in old town Martindale with a coffeehouse vibe
Service: Very kind, a little slow on this Saturday night visit during a rush
Food: Salad was lovely with fresh greens, avocado and colorful peppers with balsamic vinaigrette. Roast beef poor boy was “a delicious symphony of flavors” according to the bf. The Lockhart plate featured local sausage, cheddar cheese, avocado and saltines – great stuff.
Pricing: $30 for all listed, very reasonable

Cutest little place to get delicious plates (we split a meat and cheese board)! The cheese selection was so yummy and offered with this delectable honey. I tried the peanut butter and chocolate milkshake and ascended to heaven. The selection for beer and wine is immaculate and so tasty. They offer live bands on the weekends for the surrounding area to enjoy.
Don’t miss out on this quaint place for food and drink! They deserve so many patrons as they contribute to the Martindale area!

Awesome food!! Annie is a sweetheart! Saw a great band there, Country Willie Edwards and although not a big place there was a nice crowd and the sound was perfect.

I’ve eaten here twice now and both times everything was delicious. Beautiful art inside and lovely outdoor seating. The only reason I docked a star is because they do not have a Matcha or Chai tea option for those who don’t drink coffee. Definitely worth a stop though if you’re in the area!

We’ve been three times to try the bison burger.. at $14, that’s reasonable. At our own fault, we show up too late and they’re sold out. Today was our day- we went in and were greeted by warm, welcoming staff. Claire remembered us and the chef came over to let us know they only had one bison burger left. We said, no worries- one bison, one beef- we’ll share. They were conscientious enough to cut them in half and label them so we’d know which was which. The vegetables on the burgers were fresh and crunchy, the pickles firm and dilly, and the burgers were well seasoned and juicy. This is the restaurant Martindale needs!! Will be back and will recommend!
