I took my mother here for lunch yesterday and we were so well looked after. A lovely big table for the 2 of us and a beautiful meal. The service was excellent. My mother absolutely loved all the flowers around the restaurant, even the beautiful orchid on our table. Thank you to the owner who gifted her the orchid to take home with her when we left.

This place is so noisy. The music is way too loud. It touts itself as a more upmarket restaurant but it’s just very clubby.
The food is expensive for what you get. There are more classy beachside restaurants in Newcastle for the same price with more personalised service.
We booked and said special occasion birthday and nothing was made special , even our request for a seat with better water views , where the restaurant we went to in town for another birthday a lovely desert came out with a personalised a happy Birthday message.
There are no deserts just “ desert cocktails “ which the chocolate negroni was very unremarkable.
The crab linguini was $44 and such a small serve.
We won’t go back.

Another wonderful lunch at Martha’s today. The pasta dishes were excellent! The view over the lake is beautiful. Aaron, our waiter was professional and provided fabulous service as always. This is a standout venue for us, and we’ll be back again

Classy and humble place for high quality dinner and service. You can tell the dishes were crafted and made with care and passion. Definitely recommend the lamb shank and pavlova. Everything was very fresh and the atmosphere is dim yet well lit and clean. Service was great too, Olivia is a gem. No complaints really, I would come back.

On one of our weekly adventures trying out and supporting local restaurants, we found Martha’s tonight. Nice ambience and attentive service. I had a very good beef tartare (even though missing the egg yolk) and shared some sardines to start. The Angus beef was a bit over the medium rare that we asked for but we didn’t make a fuss. Overall, high prices and ok food!
