10/10!! Alex (the Event and Banquet Manager) and the whole team at Martell’s Lobster House made our wedding a dream come true Every detail was perfect. My guests are still raving about the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Service was incredible throughout the whole event. Alex made the planning process smooth and stress-less. I will always talk about our amazing experience having our WEDDING at Martell’s in Point Pleasant Beach. Thank you Alex and team!! We are forever going to remember the amazing experience!

Nick C. and the hostess were both awesome. The food did not disappoint between the delicious, fancy bread to the fresh delicious seafood. I highly recommend!

For my gluten free friends, their menu is clearly labeled and they have gluten free pasta options ☺️

We had an amazing lunch at Martell’s! We were greeted by a fantastic hostess, Santina and Ally, and had amazing bar service by Adam and Erin. Our food came out hot, super fresh, and above our expectations! I highly recommended the Jake’s Snow Crab Legs. They were so sweet and a huge portion for the price. As locals, this is an all around amazing experience for those who live here and those who are visiting!

Food was DISGUSTING. DRY & burned & practically inedible. Dude bussing tables took away half a loaf of bread with roasted garlic & butter that came free just for dining in, (Which was the only thing worth eating) because we moved it over when the entrees got to the table. Never asked if we were finished, & we never said we were finished. To charge $40 for a Lobster combo (including scallops, a baked potato & shrimp) I, along with so many others apparently, expected so much more & were left HIGHLY disappointed. Not normally one to return food at a restaurant, but when my friend told me there was NO LOBSTER, ONLY A LUMP OF MUSH in the shell, I could not justify paying for this. (The dish pictured is mine). If you want cheap, bottom barrel, way overpriced, overcooked, unappetizing seafood, have a go at this Lobster House… However, I highly recommend just not.

It’s September so why not go to a beach hot spot for lunch? The food was really good and the wait was non-existent. With ocean views and nice people working the restaurant, we had a good experience. I tried their lobster quesadilla because the hot bread with roasted garlic that arrived before we ordered was too good to not scarf down . I was very pleased with the amount of love meat in the quesadilla. I’m glad we got a chance to enjoy the meal and the gorgeous views!

I visited Martel’s yesterday and ordered their Monday special, which included a lobster bucket (with added crab legs and shrimp), a salad, and coconut shrimp. My server, Madison, was absolutely wonderful — very attentive, polite, and checked in regularly. The manager also came by to check on me, so the service itself was excellent.

Unfortunately, the food was a different story. The only substantial item I ate from the seafood bucket was the lobster, along with a couple of crab legs. Shortly after finishing, I began sweating profusely, feeling lightheaded, and had to rush to the bathroom to vomit. When I returned to the table, the sweating was so severe I had to fan myself with the booklet on the table. I immediately informed the manager that the lobster was the only thing I had eaten. He said he would check with the chef and apologized for my experience, taking $15 off the bill. I was considering taking the food home but I couldn’t bring myself to because of how sick I felt. So I left everything at the table.

However, the aftereffects have been unbearable. The rest of the day I felt extremely sick, and by the following morning, my symptoms had worsened, with gut inflammation, and continued lightheadedness and something else I’d rather not mention. I’ve never experienced food poisoning before, but this was absolutely awful, and I’m certain it was from the lobster I was served.

While I appreciate the staff’s attentiveness and apology, the fact that I became so ill immediately after eating points to serious concerns about food handling, cooking, or storage practices. Sadly, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

Cant believe this place only has a 2.9 score, the food was amazing and reasonably priced. Our waitress was great at making recommendations. I recommend the hot lobster roll and the stuffed lobster because thats what we had and it was excellent! The lobster bisque soup was amazing too. I cant wait to come back

I stopped in here for dinner with my boyfriend and let me tell you, we will be returning!!

The manager Alex greeted us at the host stand!! He let us look at a menu before we sat down and then walked us to our table himself! What a great guy! Our server was Gabby and she was AWESOME!! Gabby was super attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the night.

She made amazing recommendations! I had the lobster grilled cheese and my boyfriend had the seafood combo! Both of our meals were fantastic!! The girl who dropped our food off was Katie, she was super sweet as well!

I asked Gabby for a drink recommendation and told her what I liked and the bartender Drew made a delicious margarita for me!! We stopped by his bar for a drink on the way out and he was awesome as well!!

We had an amazing experience at a table right by the window overlooking the beach!! We will 100% be returning throughout the summer!! All of the staff was so great! If you come to The Lobster House, make sure to ask for Gabby!

We tried to eat here last night. We approached the host stand and asked to see a menu as my husband does not eat seafood and wanted to be sure there were options he could eat too. I was excited about trying a new place. After looking over the menu and seeing they had a few options for him, we requested a table for 2. We were told sure just give us 15 mins and they asked for our number. We took a seat at the nearby bar to have a cocktail while we waited. We were hungry and a 15 minutes wait did not sound too bad. 40 mins later after watching numerous people leave and numerous others approach the host and be seated right away. No… I don’t think they were ahead of us. As there were only like 2 names ahead of us and if they had already decided to eat there why were some reviewing the menu too before asking to be sat. We decided to approach the host stand again just to ask for an update on how much longer. The guy was so rude, he responds did I text you? No but you said 15 mins and it’s been almost 50 now. I wasn’t expecting him to roll out a red carpet but at lease give us an update without being so cocky about it. Need less to say after that experience my husband no longer wanted to wait. I was quite taken back by the experience.
