Foods and Drinks were wonderful, splendid atmosphere, looking out on the lake. I will definitely make the trip back up there from Hillsdale again soon!! Chasity(I believe was her name)was our server and she was wonderful also.

They said they couldn’t give us of you by the water. Every table as a view of the water and it is spectacular. We were seated by the fireplace so we got the two for one. We could tell our waiter Enzo was new. I believe what time he will be excellent. Their list of wines was very impressive. I had the house wine and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly I would love to come back in the summertime.

Lovely setting tucked away in a wooded area on a pond with picturesque inside & outside seating. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice selection of Italian cocktails & wines. Baked Brie is smothered in blueberry compote with great flavor but could have been served warmer for that creamy texture. Beet salad was outstanding and could be a meal on its own, in fact you can add seafood, chicken, steak to any salad. Wedge Salad was also outstanding. Entrees we’re generous, perfectly cooked with great flavor however served lukewarm, maybe a bit too much time under the heat lamp? Overall a fantastic experience, wish we had left room for desert!

Had a great food experience in Kalamazoo at a restaurant called Martel’s. If it was a little warmer out the outdoor patio is definitely beautiful and romantic for any events. The food is very tasty. When you guys get a chance check this place.

We just happened to pick Martell’s to eat on a spontaneous Sunday road trip. And let me tell you!!! One of the best places I’ve been. The mushroom toast was fantastic!! The New York strip hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had!!

We called Martell’s on a Saturday night- there was a 1.5 hour wait to sit down at a table, but no wait at the bar, so we ate there.

Value, Service, & and Quality make up all my reviews. So in this case I would do 3 stars across the board, meaning I would try it again. I have been here before with very good results. I’m not sure if it’s inflation and thin resources but it left me a little disappointed based upon my past experiences here. I had the sausage rigatoni and added a meatball but it was light on flavor, outside of garlic, and rather dry all together. I needed to request more sauce, which was different than the rigatoni. Also did not provide any bread with our soup, even when requested.

We were in town for work and found this place in Google. Didn’t realize it was fancy till we pulled up. Very cool resteraunt, lots of little dining “coves” made me wonder if the place was designed for this or what else it could have been. Our server was very helpful in bringing us a couple of tastes of the wine bottles we were thinking of ordering. We settled on a yummy serbal malbec. Hubby had the potato leek soup and prime rib, while I ordered a seafood pasta dish. I enjoyed my dish, hubby liked the soup and even was ok with the brussel sprouts (he normally hate them) but found the prime rib to be drying out rather quickly so he was not super impressed with it. The grounds were beautifully decorated for the Christmas.

I was super excited to try this out as it always pops up on my google restaurant searches with good reviews. I found it incredibly stuffy. Don’t get my wrong I prefer an elevated environment but this felt… aged. I could have been ok with that as it has a node view and the menu looks decent but the service was non existent: it would have been one thing if it was busy but it wasn’t. We were maybe one of 3 tables at lunch indoors and I only saw our server to take our order and drop our food. She never asked how our meal was, she never checked in when it took a little on the longer side in the kitchen… nope. Nothing. Disappointed to say the least. Was super excited for the crunchy Parmesan bowl for the Caesar salad but it was the consistency of rubber.

Would give it a zero if I could. Awful service from start to finish. Took 40 minutes to get our appetizers, along with the complimentary bread. The food is mediocre for the price, and honestly I believe I could do a million times better. Im still in shock. What a terrible, terrible place. I will no longer trust the Portage moms group restaurant suggestions. You’re welcome for the more than generous tip!
