In this rural ocean side town of kind hearted folks, my second night here for the month I stopped here for dinner after work.
Best decision!
Everything thing I ate was chef’s kiss!
The menu has a great seafood selection, southern comfort foods and traditional American choices.
Took some time to decide because I wanted more then I could eat
So next time I’ll try the Scallops!
BEST restaurant coleslaw I’ve had in 10 years!!! I’m very judgy when it comes to coleslaw usually it tastes like cold wet veg with no flavor. But not the Feed House!
Sweet people, staff and patrons alike. Home style sitting, nothing fancy but LOTs of seating and a small bar (closed at my time).
An absolute must if I’m Engelhard NC.

Stopped at this local restaurant on my way to the Outer Banks. I had one of the beat pork chops! It was cooked to the perfection. Juicy, and tender with balanced seasoning. The french fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, exactly how I like it. I would definitely stop here again! Great meal on a great day trip out east in NC. Also, fried okra is a must try!

A very nice option in an area without a lot of choices in the winter! Stew & fried chicken were my favorites. The staff were very friendly & attentive. It’s a great small town country restaurant.

This is the perfect “days gone by” restaurant. Walk back in time to great, southern food and hospitality. I will eat here every time I’m in this area. Everyone treats each other like they know you. I’ve never had fried okra that was whole, baby okra. Delicious. The fried chicken strips and country fried steak were outstanding. There was one waitress for what seemed like 20 tables and she didn’t skip a beat. No one had to wait for anything and she smiled the whole time. I was torn between ordering dessert or tying on an apron to help. I love Love LOVE this spot.

Fun little country restaurant. Filled with locals which is always a good sign. Food was good. Fried okra was the best.

Cool place to eat and visit. One side is a standard sit-down style restaurant, while another is more of a bar with a TV or 2 and a bartender. Solid bbq and lots of options.

Sunday lunch buffet – oh my goodness. Some of the best food we’ve ever had. And the atmosphere – so full of happy friendly people, you couldn’t leave in a bad mood if you tried. Thank y’all!

Nice little place that has buffet and serves some good southern food. Be careful if you eat too much, you might be asleep within the hour . Food was delicious and the staff keep up with you. If I’m ever over that way again I’ll definitely be stopping in.

Very poor. There was a fly in my sweet tea. They still charged me you would think they would at least offer a free meal. That just turned me off completely. $19 wasted.
