Price per person: …
Went for breakfast/lunch. One party got breakfast, rest did lunch.
I went for the buffalo chicken wrap. Tased good until a few hours later, severe pain in my gut. Did not eat anything else that day, and was up all night.
Believe I got food poisoning. Possibly during g the switch to lunch, they were rushing and didn’t realize how long the chicken was fried for?
Ugh what an awful feeling. Missed work too.
Previous reviews are not that positive, I’ll be crossing this place off the list for now on.
@Mashland too
Now, before you go thinking I’m some acai snob, let me be clear: I’m a New Englander. My people think a bowl of frozen berries is “exotic.” I know we don’t know what “real” acai is, which is what makes this story so tragic.
I walk in, all confident-like, and say, “One acai, please.” The worker asks what I want on it, and I say, “Honey and granola.”
And that’s where the fairytale ends. They were out of granola, which, whatever, no big deal. The real crime? This person had the audacity to not warn me that their idea of an acai bowl was a frozen acai ice cube with a drizzle of honey.
It’s a frozen brick of disappointment, a $15 cube of betrayal.
I’m not a detective, but I’m pretty sure a menu warning would have been a nice touch. Something like: “Warning: We serve acai in its purest, most disappointing form.”
Or maybe, “Don’t expect a delicious bowl of goodness. You’re getting a berry-flavored ice cube for the price of a lobster roll.”
I was going to take a picture but I didn’t, but trust me.
I will say though that there Açai berry frozen is probably the best I’ve hae on the Cape so there is that. But. It’s not like the west coast good
town. When Sarah and Kris are behind the bar it’s always entertaining… so much fun!
