Brunch at Mar’sel is an experience. The view is gorgeous. The food and service was exemplary. The cocktails were fantastic. You could easily see yourself ordering several of them poolside. The plating was excellent. The shellfish was fresh and prepared for ease in eating. We especially enjoyed their version of carbonara. The desserts were delightful and a perfect ending to a leisurely meal. This is a relatively expensive restaurant but well worth the price.

This is hands down a five-star experience that blew my mind! Let’s talk about the drinks because they were seriously amazing. The cocktail menu at Mar’sel is like a creative wonderland with flavors that will rock your taste buds. But here’s the real showstopper—smoke-infused drinks. They take cocktails to a whole new level, adding an extra punch of flavor and excitement. Sipping on those masterpieces felt like a wild adventure for my senses. Oh, and can we talk about the wood-paneled bar? It’s got this cozy and classy vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’re in for something special. And the sunset views? Wow, just wow. Mar’sel offers a front-row seat to some mind-blowing sunsets over the ocean. It’s the kind of view that takes your breath away and makes the whole dining experience even more magical. So, if you’re looking for an unforgettable time with incredible cocktails, a cozy bar, and sunset views that will make your heart skip a beat, Mar’sel at Terranea is the place to be. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

We went here for mother’s day dinner in the evening so that we could enjoy the views and the sunset. Although we had a reservation and multiple tables were open where we got seated, they still asked us to wait a few minutes before seating us outdoors.

It’s a very swanky place, with some of the highest prices I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. Almost impossible to get out of there without spending at least $50 per person. I ordered a seafood pasta special. The food was exceptional. My only complaint was that the portions were moderate to small-ish. Granted, I’m a bigger guy (200 lbs) but I’d expect more for around $50 per entree that would easily satisfy my hunger. The bread was terrific. The service was very good with plenty of attention from a courteous and professional staff. Lastly, the atmosphere was first-rate and hard to beat since the place is essentially on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The interior is exceptional as well. A good place to take a guest visiting from out of town or to have a special occasion… when you are solidly flush with cash.

My husband took me there for my 50th birthday with some friends. We all ordered appetizers. Then the meals came out. I ordered gluten-free lobster pasta, my husband and my friend ordered non-gluten-free. When all the dishes were brought out, mine and both my husbands, and my friends were also gluten-free. Unfortunately, all of them were undercooked we sent them back almost 30 minutes later, my husbands was brought back cooked with my friends non-gluten free. After 30 minutes, I still hadn’t received my food. We had 6:30 PM reservations and it was nearly 9 o’clock. They offered to bring out a steak, but the steak never arrived and then they brought my pasta and it was worse than the first time. You couldn’t even bite into it. It was like they cooked it for 30 seconds, my husband went in and was very upset and told the manager we had been there for 2 1/2 hours without dinner for me on my birthday. He apologized came outside and they remade all the food and finally we were eating at 9:20 PM. The manager did pick up the entire dinner and tried to make it up to us. We paid $50 each for a concert that we didn’t get to go to because we were so late at that restaurant. So we lost $200 with that as well.

Yesterday was a milestone birthday for me and dinner here was an AMAZING experience for my husband and I. We had outstanding service at every interaction from each person who works there, but especially Steven and Myra. I was sincerely impressed at the care and attention to detail they provided to create a very satisfying experience. The food was so delicious!! My husband and I shared the ribeye steak. They kindly were able to make an accommodation for crab legs on my birthday since it was not on the main offering and I was thrilled and beyond grateful. The ambiance was beautiful combination of stunning ocean views and elegance. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely come back. THANK YOU!!!!

We dropped in for a drink before our dinner reservations with another couple. We sat in the bar area and were treated like VIP guests by the staff and bartender. Great recommendations and awesome cocktail menu.

Great place to eat. Sure, it is pricey, but you get a very high quality food. Loved the place’s view. The waiter was polite and patient. No draft beer, cons. Reservations accepted. Cheese menu was not provided at beginning, I saw the full menu before so I asked for that. Cheeses are from California, Spain, France, and U.K. The breads are made in-house, so you get them warm if not hot.

The food was ok. I think the beef ribs were a tad overcooked for my taste. Overall the experience was pleasurable.
