Marrow is not just a restaurant, it’s a culinary experience rooted in passion, intelligence, and respect for ingredients.
From the first bite, it’s clear that every dish begins with exceptionally fresh, thoughtfully sourced components. The menu reflects a chef who truly understands flavor, balance, and technique, while still allowing creativity and intuition to shine.
What makes Marrow stand out is the sense that nothing here is accidental: each plate feels intentional, inventive, and deeply connected to the seasons. The kitchen’s craftsmanship is matched by an attentive and knowledgeable service team who genuinely care about the guest’s experience. Their warmth and professionalism elevate the meal from excellent to unforgettable.
There is a rare harmony here between culinary wisdom and artistic expression. You can feel that everyone is involved. From the chefs to the servers, shares a deep love for food and a commitment to excellence. Dining at Marrow is not routine; it is a journey of flavors, ideas, and textures that lingers long after the last course.
What a treat!

Marrow, a cozy and intimate restaurant, serves meticulously prepared and delicious food, all complemented by excellent service. Our attentive server, Jeff, provided us with great recommendations. The restaurant’s quiet ambiance is perfect for a delightful dinner and meaningful conversations.
We started our meal with appetizers, sharing “smoked trout” with horseradish and “golden beets” with a unique twist. The yellow beets were dipped in a red pomegranate sauce, creating a visually striking contrast. Despite the red exterior, the inside revealed a delightful yellow hue. Each bite was a burst of flavor.
For the main courses, we indulged in “marrow pot pie” and “Alaskan black cod.” Both dishes were meticulously prepared and cooked to perfection, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
I will definitely be back to Marrow again.

We go here several times a month. Their appreciation for their ingredients (locally sourced as much as they can I believe) is evident in all of their dishes. The flavors are phenomenal and the staff is friendly/readily available at all times. So happy such a restaurant is available in Rochester!

I was in town for work and ate here every single night! The menu is extremely creative and elevated, but not to the point that it’s intimidating. You’ll leave this place having felt satisfied and adventurous. The staff was superb and even gave me some tips on how to time my way out of Rochester to MSP. I had the burger twice, the confit potatoes, the smoked chicken, the tahini carrots, the doughnuts and the cobbler. All superb!! And my gosh that cobbler was everything! Please never take that off the menu!

We did the chef’s tasting menu my husband did the omnivore and I did the vegetarian which basically let us sample the entire menu the food was impeccable combining flavors that you would never expect. They were thought-provoking exquisite bites of food. The gentleman who brought each coarse was so excited to share what each item was what’s the latest excited to eat it. Our server was amazing! We had a fabulous evening and can’t wait to come back!

This is our fourth time here and it consistently wows us. You can tell chef puts heart and soul in the food. The flavor combos inspire me to be a better cook. We’ve been blessed to have Jeffery serve 2 maybe 3 of the times we visited and he is a knowledgeable delight. It’s a great thing to have staff care as much about the establishment as the chefs. We hope to have him serve us again. This is a good team that puts out high quality recipes and rivals any of the high end restaurants in the twin cities. This is Rochester’s special hidden gem.

The best brunch I’ve ever had! Delicious and unique food. Our server Marlon was very helpful and attentive. We’ve already made plans to go back for dinner in a couple weeks. The price of the meal was very good for the quality of food and service we received. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The city of Rochester is very fortunate to have this restaurant. I travel all over the world and this is one of the best (and most unique restaurants) that you will find anywhere in this price range. It’s a true culinary experience. I ate here twice (two nights in a row) because I was at Mayo for a few days. Both meals were excellent and I will definitely be back when I’m in town.

Amazing! A variety of old fashions that set the stage for tantalizing evening. Excellent consultation over the menu and a strategic plan utilizing the palatial experience. Our waiter was a world traveler willing to share his knowledge and experience to guide our selections. Meatless meatballs! Potatoes fondue is a must! Lamb and tortellini with buttermilk whey. Finished with donuts and coffee that made the evening not want to end!

This was an amazing experience. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was very patient in going through the menu with us. He was very attentive. We were at the Chef’s table. It was awesome watching the 3 chefs work seamlessly together. For dessert, I 100% endorse the Dutch donuts partnered with the Vanilla Bean ice cream. Absolutely mouth watering. We are vacationing from MO and this restaurant was the highlight of our dining experiences. Our bill for 2 was around $120, including a glass of wine each and dessert. We shared the Cara Cara salad, the Confit Farmer’s Potatoes, the roasted half chicken, and the Dutch donuts and vanilla bean ice cream. Also 2 glasses of red wine, for reference when comparing cost.
