We are a family restaurant where Momma lets Poppa think he is in control, We take great pride in getting it right, keeping it clean and building it all our selves. We have funny short hours to accommodate the cook (Poppa), but tell good stories if we have time for a chat. During COVID restrictions we are only offering take-out.

What an awesome experience. My wife and I got dressed up and drove from north Boulder to this little gem about a year ago. We didn’t have reservations and we were turned away at the door in the most polite and warm manner possible.
Well, to surprise my wife as an early birthday dinner, I made a reservation for this past Saturday. Our experience was amazing. A true family owned business. Food was great, service was great, and we will return next year.
“It’s like we had an incredible meal at a relatives’ house and they served us..” is what my wife said to me. I couldn’t agree more.
Our server Lauren was a boss! Serving the ENTIRE restaurant on her own. Yet, she still had the time to have some meaningful conversation with us and get to know us all the while being professional, efficient, and extremely arm and welcoming.
We received complimentary drinks and a to-go back of treats and our bill was a fraction of the cost yet exponentially better than other places we’ve dined at down the mountain in Boulder. Highly recommend the artichoke dip!

Really delicious Italian in a charming unique building with even more charming staff. Short seasonal hours so we went big and got the artichoke dip appetizer, lasagna special, shrimp fra diavolo, and a pecan brownie. It’s all delicious. Generous portions. Great wine and beer pairing. We came “all the way” from Ned and will be back!

What a find. The food had a wonderful fragrant sauce and the portions were more than ample. The dinning room feels as though you are in the owners home. They cook and deliver your food too and with a smile and a chat. The wines and beer choices are very limited but the dinning experience is still worth the drive

This an information review for public information. As of Dec 26, 2025, according to their voicemail, “Marrocco’s Family Dining is closed for the season and will open sometime in the spring”. I just left three stars here because I have to leave something – I have not actually been able to dine here yet.

In a word, Marraccos is celestial. A mountain jewel tucked away in a tiny town with the best food, ambience, and congenial staff between Estes Park and Nederland. A labor of love from this family and they’ll be sure you enjoy it. All mountain prices are expensive, however, this is amazingly economical.
Don’t miss it. Reserve early.
On-site parking is limited, but you can easily find a spot nearby on the side of the road.

What a great hidden gem! I loved the food, wine and desserts. Everything was just perfect. Service was incredible. They have so many gluten free options for bread, pasta and pizza.

We love our annual visit to Marrocco’s once they open! Its always a treat on a warm summer evening for date night. The food, particularly the red sauces and garlicky shrimp, are so flavorful. Like having a home cooked meal. It’s a small family run restaurant with a limited kitchen, so plan to order a bottle of wine and enjoy the experience! The staff are all very friendly. The building itself is also unique. If you don’t have room for dessert, which we usually don’t because of the generous portions, be sure to take one to go!

Hard working, wonderful waitstaff. The chicken parm special was perfect after a long hike. I got lucky with an early Saturday walk in but a reservation is probably advisable.
