I was really looking forward to this COB salad and I forgot to tell her what dressing I want and I’m not sure what was given, the chicken taste like no effort was put into it. The eggs are over cooked and it’s just not what I thought it would be. Even the mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce is weird. Service was good though. The lady was really nice.

We were staying at the hotel and based on TripAdvisor reviews, gave this place a chance. It sure did disappoint. Wife and I both ordered Cobb salad, which is a pretty easy meal to make, regardless of skill level, and a side of fries to go so we could eat in our room. The fries were barely warm, but sadly that was the high point of the meal. Both salads looked rough, but I was starving and felt brave/reckless so I went ahead and ate it. My salad was full of the lettuce hearts and the blue cheese smelled a lot stronger than it should have, but my wife’s was apparently worse and after poking at it for a few minutes, she opted to just go hungry for the night.

The staff was very friendly but we were not very impressed with the food. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. They were out of baked potatoes which is a strange menu item to improperly stock. I guess the best way to describe our experience is that the place LOOKS better than it is.

If I could leave negative stars I would. It took 25 minutes to place a drink order. We ordered our appetizers at the same time as the drinks. 15 minutes later we still have no drinks. We ordered our food and address our concern for the appetizers the guy says he is getting them. 25 minutes later our entrees come before the salads or appetizers. Still no refills and he has an attitude. There was hair in 2 of our 3 plates. The supposed manager came out dressed in baggy sweatpants and calling me “cuh” I would never visit this establishment again.

Marquis Bistro is surprisingly nice! This restaurant is conveniently attached to the DoubleTree Hotel. I was in town (visiting from DC) for a special event at Fort Bragg (yes I said Bragg!) and didn’t want to leave my hotel to find dinner. I had very low expectations, but to my delight the food and service were wonderful. The bistro was pretty packed with hotel guests and locals, but the one lady taking orders was very fast, friendly and actuate. I ordered the cheese burger and glass of wine. The burger was delicious; and the bistro had a fair selection of wines. If I am ever in the area again, I’ll go to the Marquis Bistro.

I stay at Hilton hotels most nights of the year, and I prefer the double tree, they typically have a restaurant (among other reasons). Monday night was my first night here and I was semi-surprised to see the restaurant was only taking to go orders. The service wasn’t aweful, just less than friendly. Tonight the restaurant was open, 10 people between the bar and tables, with plenty of room to spare all around. I took a seat at the bar so I could get in and get out. Well, after 10 minutes of waiting I was finally acknowledged by the woman picking up dirty dishes and given a menu. Another 10 minutes later one of the servers (that has walked past me several times) asked if I needed something. So I placed my order, and another 10 minutes layer I got my water. Another couple walked in shortly after I placed my order, and within 2 minutes of sitting down, they had menus and their drink order. I’m hoping tomorrow night will make up for the last 2, if not I’m going to take my business elsewhere.
Update: Night 3 was a little better. I was acknowledged much quicker than the previous night. I think the problem is nobody knows who is supposed to be helping who, everyone just assumes that someone else is going to take care of you…

We were pleasantly surprised with the service and food at the Marquis based on most of the reviews. Staff was attentive and the food was good. For a hotel restaurant we were impressed. We will definitely go there again if we ever find ourselves in Fayetteville.
